Hey, happy soapmakers, I’m here to test out the Winston and Walter 31 pound XL soap mold. Winston Walter is located in Canada I am located in New York so it was a big shipping situation, but it was made simple by July, who is the owner of Winston and Walter. Here I show you how I use the 31 pound massive soap loaf, the equipment you might want to consider if you buy this, and how you should alter your batching. Please follow and subscribe for more content I’m gonna be definitely making more videos on this subject and how I set up my multi six-figure soaping studio. If you’re interested in the soap mold, check out the link above and tell July I said hello!
Please comment if you have any questions at all about the Soap studio I do read my comments, I appreciate all of you that are here and subscribing as well thank you so much, happy soaping!

You can search, I found a video ages ago when I first started making soap, that explains how to measure your mold to know how much oil to put in. The flip side to that is you can use that same formula to make the size bar you want in any mold, especially height. I use 7.5lb molds that are 3.5 inches high. But I only want my soaps 3 inches high. So i used the measurement I wanted to calculate the size batch I needed to get the size bar I wanted. Then you don't have to guess. :)

Do you mind me asking what is the name of the scale? I am planning on starting my own soap-making business.

I’ve read that the lye fumes and essential oils are harmful to birds. Is yours ok?

You could do wider bars if you adjust your loaf splitter to cut wider

I know what you mean, but I went ahead and order this mold with 2 skinny&tall molds and shipped to Taiwan. It was super costly with freight costly close to USD 300 (I think), but it was super worth it!
The wood quality is awesome, and it was so easy to unmold, quality of the molds are also excellent.
