The only thing I didn’t tab out is the background guitar effect that’s a little hidden in the original mix. They don’t do this live and I had to make an educated guess as to what’s going on there. But the guitars that are played live - it’s there in the tab. In measure 20, I used only downstrokes on the muted strings. But you can also alternate pick that and it sounds fine. Hetfield does this live but it's questionable if he did on the studio take. In measure 31, I tabbed out 2 downstrokes on the F5 (3rd fret A and D strings) because that's what I seen Hetfield do live. But you can really hear that in the mix so I can see why in most tabs, you only see a single stroke of that. What should be the next Metallica song? Old or New?
Finally, someone that plays the Chorus correctly. Official TABS are wrong and most internet TABS are incorrect. When you watch James play it LIVE, this is the way he plays it. 🤘😀🤘

I know some people record their own backing tracks to avoid it, maybe you can find independently recorded ones. Also like the other guy said, playing it different in subtle ways can help too. I’ve also noticed it helps if there’s no vocals or your own. But having as little of the original recordings as possible is your best bet for the auto detection to not pick it up
This song is way more nuanced than I realized. Awesome job! I wish I had resources like this back when I was locked in my bedroom, searching up incorrect tabs as a teen in the 90s!
My dad told me you have to find books with all the tableture back in his day, this was the 80s though. I have his ACDC book and everything in there is legit

All, Crue songs are in this tuning. I recommend learning “She Goes Down.” Very fun and easy song of theirs. Also Metallica’s cover of Whiskey in the Jar uses this tuning. Always nice to have a D-Standard guitar. Rock on 🤘

The issue i have with Mr Tabs is that he makes every song look so easy to play. The problem with my skill levels is that i make every song sound so hard to play. I'm hoping that the two things will meet one day! Absolutely love these vids though, also love the range of songs you do! Could you do symptom of the universe at some point?

Not to nitpick, but I just love the staccato-ish (second- and third-played) D5s each time thru THE RIFF... ending the ringing strings with the remaining L.H. fingers. A lot (nearly all?) of folks seem to just classically palm mute. Can come down to personal taste tho.
