- Finally took it down within 10 minutes. Dear lord...I swear, that Emperor Dragon actually has a lot more HP than 1,000,000...
...more like a little under 1,600,000. @_@
Special thanks to LordEnvoy for creating such an entertaining and difficult monster to fight and experiment against. I definitely had a lot of fun seeing what ways could beat it quickly. :)
Lmao from all the video responses I've received from everyone this one is probably my favorite. With in depth detail of the battle the entire time and the added bonus of annotations for the damage total. Great Job for being the first to kill Emperor in under 10 minutes and besting 26agelo26's score of 8:50. You have just placed yourself at the top of the board with a final time of 8:37. Amazing job! Especially with only 2 characters on hand. Absolutely incredible performance.

Vanish used to make Doom // Death always work, including on bosses, which normally are immune to all or almost all bad status effects including 1-hit knockout spells. It made some spells like, X-Zone, glitch on bosses & could crash the game, such as Larry // Moe // Curly in Cyan's nightmare.
Emperor is said to have 1 million HP. In actuality it only has 50,000 HP. What it does have is 20 lives. Every time it's HP is reduced to 0 it is immediately restored giving the illusion that it has so much life. On further analysis, when Guntank attacked it using the Offering relic, he reduced it's life force to 0. However the game's programing did not restore Emperor until after all the attacks from the Offering/Genji combo has landed. This gave another illusion that Emperor Had more HP.

Question... by what you said using offering and genei glove is doing 29992 overkill damage that is just wasted correct?
Yes, Emperor's attacks are dependent on what life it is currently on. His patterns and counters alter every 100,000 to 150,000 HP. Some of it's patterns rest only on a 50,000 HP interval, so those are the ones that may have been skipped over during your battle. The other patterns which have larger intervals, will be seen much more often.
I think Quasar ignores Shell as well, yes, like Grand Train, Flare and Ultima. The damage Quasar does per person decreases by about half, though, if you have at least 2 people in the party.

The super bosses didn't need ungodly hp. They should have been MUCH faster. Like, actions 3x to 4x as often minimum. Even if a slight decrease in damage to make up for. They should have bombarded us in a way that we should be frantically responding for 6 minutes straight at the minimum.

And I take it each 'Life' actually has a different set of attacks and attack patterns as well? That explains a lot, really, especially why I managed to see some attacks often during my attempts while other attacks kept getting skipped over entirely.

You weren't kidding about the Emperor Dragon having an unmatched repertoire of attacks; There were so many things that could've killed Edgar this fight but was either soaked up by Terra (Flare, Holy), or just weren't cast (L3Muddle, Meteor). But that's also what made it such a joy to try to figure out any patterns to the Emperor's attacks, so very big kudos to you for a job well done.
How long did it take you to make this boss from start to finish, anyway? o_o

I got to 4minutes and 32seconds and realized you took to long to kill it. I did it in just under 4 minutes with Terra only. 😴
You'd think that the genji should have two equips per a person so you should be able to equip 8 genji gloves for 4 people, 2 genji gloves per a person. I can't remember though, so it might only be 1 genji glove per a person. I read you can only get 3 genji gloves in the game but my computer is being hacked to slow it down so I can't get the proper searching done for that. What would normally take me 5 minutes to find all of this information will now take me a couple hours with everything I'm looking into. You could also keep doing the steal on repeating opponents to get more genji gloves. I think it's called X-universe was Terra uses to repeat strikes double, or it could be something else so something like that plus the genji glove could give someone 16 strikes a move. I think it's x-magic and I don't know if there's any non-cheat tricks to use it to double your strikes with the genji gloves from 8 strikes a move to 16 strikes a move. X-magic is duel cast of Soul of Thamasa relic also called gem box depending on the version which you can get more than one depending on the version to possibly equip them on all compatible members. And does Celes do that x-magic feature, what's the difference when Terra is in trance. There's a way to repeat parts of the game and use steal on the final boss and maybe others to get atleast 8 atma weapons (8 ultimate weapons). If the game has 12 players in total you get get 12 genji gloves and 24 atma weapons. Then if the other player has the repeat ability which I think Gau has then he can copy the genji + x-universe + 2 atma weapons. Cyan can have a genji glove with atma weapon and 8 on swordtech. You can equip 2 atma weapons per a person, 1 for each arm. Celes, Strago, and Gogo in different ways might have similar stuff to accomplish that. Terra might have to morph, can't remember. One of Sabin's blitz might also be good but can't remember if it makes a difference of multiple strike blitz + genji glove, or swordtech 8 + genji glove Cyan would make a difference. Gogo can use mimic. I watched the video and Emperor Dragon in your video has 1,600,000 HP. Spells to use are speeding, quick, magic and strike protection, extra strength, extra magic strength, reflect, cure, life, similar items, and slow for multiples on team and then the others to harm the enemy. Decide between equips that are a mix of ability, hit power, defense, and speed. If the opponents have protection and counter strikes that would be good depending what's in this game. Of all of the Final Fantasy games you can get these characters to be the most powerful without any cheats or glitches.

You can get 14 characters in all in the game. The 15th is General Leo without cheats with a complex glitch but I'm not sure if that's true. It could be through complex glitches you can also get other characters but those may not be true.

You were luck that Emperor dragon doesnt use Ultima after his HP finally reach 0. That would be an extremely dick move!!!
That would've been indeed, although I would've still had Life 3 on both Terra and Edgar on if it did cast Ultima when it died, which would definitely win them the battle anyway. :)
Imagine if Reraise/Auto-Life/Life 3 didn't exist....

It took me about an entire days work to design it and about another to play test.
What did you do to get 8 strikes a move with Edgar. Can you do that with Cyan through another way of 8 strikes a move? Is there a way to double that and get 16 strikes a move with Edgar or Terra if you put her on the same setting as Edgar to get 8 strikes and then do a special selection to get 16 strikes a move without changing the programming. Can you do 16 strikes a move with Edgar without changing the programming. Can you get 16 strikes a move with Cyan with his way. What's the most strikes a move you can get? How many strikes does Cyan do if you load it up to 8 on swordtech with his best setting, level, and weapons/armor. I can't remember but I think you got two of those swords with Edgar. If you keep using I think the steal option on I think it was on one of the versions of the final Kefka you can keep getting more of those swords. I think you can set up all of the characters with 8 strikes a move. Maybe you can get up to 16 strikes a move with Terra. You only used 2 characters so with 4 characters you might be able to beat it faster with 3 strikers and 1 healer or 4 strikers. 16 strikes would be repeat move with 8 strikes each part with 16 strikes in total the move. I don't know if this is the right game but Terra could mimic her previous move to do 16 strikes again. Gau might be able to mimic in a different way to do 16 strikes too by copying the previous player's move that did that, and then Gau would keep repeating. Did I miss anything else that could be useful.
Genji Glove + Offering/Master's Scroll would allow Edgar to equip two swords and attack 4 times with each sword; Casting the Quick Spell additionally allows Edgar to act twice, for a total of 16 attacks in a single turn. The Emperor Dragon itself also drops an Atma Weapon each and every time you beat it.
I never tried using Mimic with Gogo to try to get an additional 8/16 attacks (though I doubt it), so feel free to see if that works.
Unfortunately, since there is only one Offering/Master's Scroll in the game through a normal playthrough (and you're prohibited from hacking extra items for the challenge, aside from any additional Atma Weapons the Emperor Dragon itself drops), you'll have only one character being able to attack 16 times per turn in this manner at any time, with the rest attacking a maximum of 4 times per turn.

...and from there it took hundreds of people weeks to figure out how to beat him in the first place, much less under 10 minutes. XD

Never thought this dragon was beatable to be honest. I mean max level and stats and he's still nearly invincible. I'd have Gau with his ability to have max evasion and this guy is still just fucking ridiculous. I guess you just have to have perfect strategy, one mistake and it's over. I mean guy was good in the video, but what if the dragon pulls the imp move? Can you even defend against that?

The Emperor Dragon is guaranteed to drop one each and every single time you defeat him.

@@theleftfootedsultan i see. Not that it matters. Evry tough challenge final fantasy 6 has to offer are something you have to hack into the game. Wich makes no sense. Ff6 could have so many good bosses in it in the wor. But as fast you gather evryone in wor, you can just go straight for the finish with nothing left to do. And what makes even less sense is how you can continue to play after you kill kefka, and you got nothing left to kill besides low levels monsters and farm the best weapons. And for what? So you can 1 hit evry low level encounter? Ff5 had more to offer..
