Hey guys, we could have given you some good perspective from a brand in the industry and our experiences. We’ve been on both sides… tattooing and manufacturing products for our own studio.. and then accidentally caring for the nations tattoos! I am not a tattooist, and I know very little about any sponsorship models in the tattoo industry.
I can however say that the artist who does my tattoos and the shop where she works, endorse your product and give it to clients included in the price of day sessions there, and I have used it and got desirable results. So there's that.

I saw the control of autonomy with recent comments on the Unemployable podcast where Lainey Bee mentioned she wasn't allowed to tattoo Mike Devries at a convention because they have different sponsors (Bishop and FK Irons I think) so she would use a different machine than what he was sponsored by? Seems pretty petty by the sponsors, kinda sucks.

@@ThatTattooShow yeah considering she's a sponsored artist of his Wipe Outz product. It's just so counter intuitive to what tattooing is about. That said maybe tattooers should realise that just because you use a product someone else is sponsored by doesn't mean you automatically get the same result. Actually not just tattooers, humans in general.
