Had to pause 20 seconds into this video just to comment. I'm new to bass fishing, and haven't fished in about 20 years. When I saw the Occuquan Reservoir, I had to do a double take. That's maybe a 30 minute drive for me, as it's just a bit north! Looks like I found a new place I'm going to have to try my luck!

8:28 that happens to me all the time when i lip bass with sharp gripper teeth, it never lasts though usually good after a few hours
David Gamero yeah these bass did seem to have pretty sharp gripper teeth, they mainly eat Shad in that Reservoir I believe

I once said on here,that if you were in a boat, you'd be dangerous as a fisherman.I stand by that assessment! You look at maps and can find likely holding areas you can reach from the bank!In the tournament,everybody else was on a finesse type summer pattern,But you threw the rackity clackity lures,etc.,going for the reaction strike!It paid off BIG time!500 bucks is 500 bucks!👍

Two times I lost a fishing pole. Once in 15 ft of water but I did get it back with a fishing hook from another pole. Then one-time Butterfingers cast out and throw the whole damn pole. I got lucky to get that one back in the river since a fish did not take my bait pulling the whole pole down river.

It's pretty uncomfortable and my hand gets really soggy looking, like it's been super exposed to water but really I keep it dry the whole time 🤔

If you have open water, fish cover like rocks, logs, or brush piles, i would use weedless baits for brush piles. For rocks and logs, use a squarebill crankbait
And if its shallow fish a buzzbait or any noisy topwater bait
