I've always organized my movies by director, in alphabetical order; not chronologically. If the director has releases from boutique labels, I put them by label, in alphabetical order (all Carpenter Scream Factory together, all Woody's TT together, etc.) That way they look better on the shelf, with spines uniformity. The non-boutique releases, in alphabetical order. Usually after the director's boutique groups.
Good thinking. I would like to arrange more by boutique label for sure. I do have a Criterion Closet that houses all my Criterions and a lot of the numbered spine collections like Paramount Presents and MVD Rewind. But I would like to get some more labels together like Scream Factory, Kino Lorber, Arrow and all that.
So much to pack in this comment Both Streets of Fire and Trespass gets slept on alot. Phenomenon, Inferno, and Tenebrae are my favorite Argento films. Anybody who loves John Carpenter's Prince of Darkness is cool in my book. And lastly, I hope S. Craig Zahler makes more films as well.
Also before I forget, I digg Rob Zombie's movies, and definitely agree with you he does not deserve the hate. The horror community is really harsh on the guy ( just ask We Watched A Movie they hate his guts with a passion ), but you shouldn't be intimidated in seeing Zombie's take on The Munsters. If you don't like it, you don't like it; simple as that. Don't turn into those guys, Red Phone Video is an awesome channel and I am proud to be a subscriber.
Rob Zombie’s The Munsters is silly fun. Check it out.
Rocky! 🤘 I'll check it out, my dude.
