Federal Signal 2001 SRN Siren Test, Alert x2, Peoria, IL, September 3, 2024

Another siren that is real close to me. This 2001-SRN is located at the intersection of N Galena Rd and NE Skyline Dr. It is also interesting to note that while Peoria County's Whelens do alert and attack, their 2001's only do alert. But if you look closely during the second activation, you can see the rotator is doing its version of attack instead. Maybe something is mis-wired?

YESSSS THAT 2ND GEN SRN! I've debated recording it before, I'm so glad it's still around!
West peoria had a 2nd gen srn but they whelend it in august of last year. I hope this 2001 sticks around as it seems peoria is slowly replacing their 2nd gens with whelens.
I gotta checkup on the 2nd gen that was near the taco bell i used to go to when i worked at club car wash. I haven't been to that siren in a couple years now, hopefully it's still there.
