As always one of the best and most realistic ND media coverages and one of m y favorites. Great job, and it WAS nerve-racking, even if the box score doesn't say it was. Go Irish!
Love is a fantastic player. But the fact that there’s a player like Price right behind him is a testament to the talent McCullough has brought in and developed.
I personally think it'll be in Price's best interest to transfer after the year. He is a stud and will be able to climb up draft boards in another situation. ND will be fine without him. Love could be in the heisman talk if he becomes a true bell cow RB. We have other young players behind him that can step in for Price, if he leaves.
@@amandazendron3706 I couldn’t disagree more…there’s no one close to Price and Love as far as experience and production. Wouldn’t be in the position they are without both those backs. There’s talent behind them, no doubt, but why leave the guidance of a proven NFL RB coach? Love isn’t going to develop into the “bell cow” any more than he already has because Deland’s system doesn’t seem to work like that. They’ve split time ever since he arrived. I’m more worried about money and the NIL.
@IXLR82 1 thing I worry about is Love opting to leave in order to get the type of love that Jeanty is currently getting. Price is on a similar level to other really good RBs we have had. Love is on par with the SEC/1st round tyoe RBs. Yes, Price is currently our 2nd best back. However, Williams has looked real good as a freshman, and could be on a similar level next year. I do agree with McCulloughs team 1st mentality of rotating RBs, but that may eventually be a tough pill to swallow for someone like Love, especially when other teams are going to be throwing millions his way to hit the portal. I just think it'll be a good move for Price, and I believe ND will stay at a similar level at the position.
ND did what they needed to do after NIU loss, run the table and demolish the competition. This one was the closest game. Need work on pass defense. Passing game has improved. ND should be able to win 1st round and make it to semis.
While the ESPN analysts and others will find ways to dismiss Notre Dame, it cannot be stated enough how impressive this win truly is: -Just played a game in New York and had to travel cross country -Played a team that was throwing EVERYTHING at them -If it weren’t for a lame garbage time score, ND wins by more than the other 5 teams combined (including a loss to higher ranked Penn State) -The pressure that comes knowing it is a must-win The list could go on, but the reality is that this is a legit team with a great leader in Marcus Freeman (can we, again, appreciate the fake punt?!?). With a few weeks to heal up and clean up mistakes, everything is possible for them.
@@edszewczyk Conjar put ND on the board, Schoen had his pick-six, Azzaro had a 38-yard FG, Seymour caught 2 TD passes, Harshmann caught a TD pass; Eddy ran for a TD (Azzaro missed the PAT) and Martin had his pick-six.

Great instant analysis guys.
We needed a game like this. Go Irish!!!

AMEN TO THAT!!!
McCullough is an absolute stud! My only concern is keeping Love/Price together on the roster and keeping them happy with enough carries.

Our defense got a wake-up call today. They looked mostly awful until the two pick sixes

Freeman now has 30 wins in his third season, more than any other ND coach after three seasons.
Looking sharp guys!
Has a team ever had 2 interceptions returned for 90+ yard touchdowns in 1 game?
ND had two pick-sixes for TDs against USC in 1966, but they were 40 yards by Tom Schoen and 33 yards by Dave Martin.
@@8avexp I did not remember that. So that's how we got to 51.

I really liked the look of the white shirts, white pants and gold hats.
Let’s hope Golden uses this game to fix the issues on defense. Also not having a kicking game is going to catch up with us!
Look at the official Inside Irish video and you can see Christian saying this, pretty cool
We (ND) were fortunate to win.
Another game with strange events.

You guys are understating how badly torched So Cal torched Christian Gray and the secondary. They got exposed and need to fix that - quick.
Cannot throw deep, could be a problem.
Love could have a hairline fracture if it's the shin.
Onward Notre Dame
550+ yards give up by Irish. NOT good, considering UCLA held USC to 19 points.
lol what the hell are you guys wearing? Haha looking like midwestern farmers lol
