I’ve only seen it on 1 trailer. Only seen disc brakes on 2 trailer’s But have sat through a couple of Dexter axle class’s and the guy who teaches them has on the trailer he hauls his class material in ( axles and brakes and bearings) He describes it as a game changer The trailer weighs a good bit more than his F150 and he used to get pushed around by the turbulence from semis and white knuckle drive. Now the semis blow by and the trailer runs straight.
Thank you for watching! This is our first 5th wheel RV, we did pull a smaller bumper pull toy hauler with a 1/2 ton Ram so I don’t have much of a reference of what a 5th wheel without the Dexter would tow like. I can say that this Brinkley pulls so easily with it! No sway and no chucking. I think it’s the GenY gooseneck and the Dexter tow assist combo!
Do you have to get any other app on your phone besides the Dexter Tow Assist? We have a Jayco with the Tow Assist installed on it. I keep seeing Car Scanner mentioned. I assume that is only if you have the Veepak in your truck.
@@DCole-h7z The veepak came with the RV. It’s just a generic OBDII reader. If you know where your OBDII plug is on your RV you can plug it in there and then have the app search for it. You must have the RV plugged into the truck
Thank you for the video. I look forward to picking up our G3500 and seeing if they share as much on the Dexter system as you did. Did the dealer tell you about the Dexter app?
Absolutely not! They didn’t know anything about much on the Brinkley. They also don’t tell you that the furrion cameras are already synched. Just have to turn on the “camera” switch in the front baggage area.
very nice thanks , While going down the road im getting a message that says check trailer wiring ,that's comes on and off ,when message comes on trailer brakes don't work as soon Message goes off trailer brakes start working normal .I check all fuses in my truck and they were all good ,check connectors In all 6 tires and also they were good , I wonder if I can fix the issue by just reseting the ECU. from G #0150
@@chasing70degrees23 I literally saw the video from the G group on FB, I definitely will work on it tomorrow morning, ill let you know as soon as I get a diagnose thanks again. I also know tha the dexter system is there but same dealership never mention anything about it
Thanks for posting this Ross. Getting ready for travel day in the 3950 and this set me up perfectly!
@@ScubaDude284 hahaha I just posted on your post to watch this! You are always a step ahead!

Looks like Brinkley has some training to do.
Agreed! I know that Brinkley travels and does training at dealers but turn over rates probably don’t help those dealers retain the knowledge base.
Awesome Video! Thanks again! Love that duel flag mount! Did you make that?
Thanks for watching! I ordered that off of Amazon. It’s a magnet mount dual mount.

Thank you for watching! Have you run the diagnostic on the Dexter app? Did it give you any error codes?

We have no light or power to the system.
Wow! Haven’t seen that. Did you reach out to Brinkley? They will get you in touch with Dexter pretty fast!
You lost me.
