Feeding America battles food insecurity with a national network of over 200 food banks and pantries. Project Broadway provides opportunities in theatre arts and education to children and teens who may not otherwise have access to such experiences.

The lower notes actually surprised me more than the high ones. I feel like I expected the high ones to be amazing, but the low ones were so clear, and that I wasn’t expecting
He's not a high tenor so of course they're clear
He's more of a baritenor/dramatic tenor
well he does have a lower range and you can even hear him strain on the high note in this cover, he keeps getting cast in tenor roles for his appearance but i'd love to see him take a baritone role for once
he does have a BEAUTIFUL falsetto tho his voice gives me butterflies every time 😵💫

You can really tell how much training he's had, the technique is solid base that is gonna get better and better the older he gets

He does everything to a T from the original song, the breaks, the exact key, how it's pronounced, timing and the emotion that it's originally sung in, that makes it obvious he's been professionally trained- somebody who was absolutely obsessed with that song and 'Be more chill' (the musical it's from).

@@oliviajacques741 Completely valid tbh! After watching the DEH movie, my opinions on having the og cast play them again has changed. Ben Platt playing 16 year old Evan felt REALLY awkward considering how almost everyone else looked like normal teenagers and he looked like a thirty year old. Now, all I want for a BMC movie/cast is to have a cast that has a theatrical background/ very inclined to musical theatre. What I noticed in the DEH movie is that Ben Platt's acting felt very broadway and the other's weren't matching the broadway feeling.

His voice represents a kid who has no friends, voicing out his insecurities, having never experienced social interaction at all. Its perfect for this song. Gaten has always been so special to me out of all the stranger things kids. From his name, to his acting, to his goofy and cute little smile, and now, HIS SINGING. Gaten seriously is so perfect ❤️❤️

I’m shook. I’ve never heard him singing, but I figured he could because he was on Broadway. I just didn’t expect this voice. I love that he so connected to his chest voice and his belt is really great. I can tell he’s trained or getting trained geez what a talent!
The actual sound mixing sounds a little bit like it was recorded in a bathroom (just a little) but the fact that this was enjoyable nonetheless proves just how impressive you're singing is especially since judgment is usually harsher when a familiar song is being sung by a different person
