"Eternal Flame" is a song by American pop/rock group The Bangles. The power ballad was written by group member Susanna Hoffs with the songwriting team of Billy Steinberg and Tom Kelly. In 1989 "Eternal Flame" became a number-one hit in nine countries, including Sweden, UK and the USA. Since its release, it has been covered by many musical artists, including Australian boy band Human Nature, who reached the Australian top 10 with their version, and British girl group Atomic Kitten, who topped four national charts with their rendition.
I heard my good friend, Jimmy Quango: • "Eternal Flame" (The B... play this last week and he inspired me to make a classical guitar version for my students and for you to listen to. Please listen to Jimmy's version!

This song was a hit when our oldest daughter was born. Maybe a coincidence, but this week she gave birth to our little grandson. Beautiful, thank You.

A few well-chosen sentences, repetitive at will set on a melody...
The theme of the song is naturally catchy but in my opinion, it is essentially the music that made the success of this title.
The lyricist at the time must have been convinced of this himself :). Even sung in yogurt, the success was going to be there because there is a second component to this success, the voice of the performer!!
