Wonderful !! How can we book the hsrtc and hptdc buses ? Can we book window seat ? I had tried searching for online booking but didn't find the correct website.
There is no only booking for HRTC leh buses. You have to book from the counter at bus stand. Seats are first come first serve.. HPTDC Leh bus does have online booking when it starts, generally in July.
I do not conduct or offer any tour services. I only offer travel information for FREE and help locals as well as travelers connect with each other directly so they benefit from each other in best possible way. If you see a similar name company or same name company as of DevilOnWheels which is the original brand that I created, such similar names/same names offering tour services are all cheats and fake ones who have stolen/copied my brand name and conduct tours for commercial benefits. I have no relation with such fake companies. Beware of such cheats. If you need tour packages help, I can connect you with some local based tour operators in all over Ladakh, Spiti, Zanskar, etc.. Yes Raj bhai.. but I used 300 as upper figure considering other miscellaneous costs as well as assuming few times you may eat at high end restaurants, sometimes at dhabhas and sometime packed food and snacks and sometimes drinks.. so I averaged them to 300-350 making it like 3600-4000
Thank you Sir , very useful information. I am planning solo trip to leh ladakh. Should i go in june or july? Can you pls make a video on how to book public transport online or where to book these bus tickets in person from srinagar leh manali delhi route
Thank you for the detailed information. If I intend to visit Turtuk and Hanle is it possible via shared taxi? Are there any tout nuisance while booking shared taxis from Leh market
You may need to find the local market places where such tourist taxis are available. These circuits are not general but stil there will be people interested in these places. So, when you reach Leh try to find these tour operators running shared taxis for Turtuk and Hanle.
We will travel from Delhi to Leh via Manali and return from Leh via Kashmir route by self car drive family tour , can you guide if we can get local accomodation arranged by someone or should we do prior booking. Our date should be 24 th May onwards. With 10 days travel plan. 8 adults and 1 kid 10 year
Well Maira, I will not recommend that you travel in that direction that too with a kid and bigger family. I always suggest of traveling from Srinagar side and coming back from Manali side in general. However, you also do not have sufficient days to complete the whole circuit too which required 12 days. I will suggest that you watch below two videos and decide with pros and cons: 1. th-cam.com/video/74tczptZ6tU/w-d-xo.html (10 days Ladakh Trip Plan) 2. th-cam.com/video/4Se3aQfRovw/w-d-xo.html (12 Days Ladakh Trip Plan)
Agar slowly travel karoge and body ko ache se hydrated rakhoge to itna jaruri nahin hai par haan help ho jaati hai agar tabyat kharaab ho to.. waise mostly log carry nahin karte hain..
Hi Dheeraj I have a doubt amt AMS. In my recent trip (Manali to kaza ) the AMS or HAPE kicked me very hard that I have to hospitalised and doctor advised to go in plains by ambulance..now everything is okay and m planning agn to go to Himalayas. My question is should I take diamox before going to Himalayas now
You should talk to a doctor before taking it as it has side effects, usually people start it couple of days before reaching high altitude once their doctor has recommended the right dosage and plz do consult doctor as this medicine is known to have side effects. So, always take them after consultation.. Sorry to hear about your experience in Spiti.. Please follow the Acclimatization tips and plan your trip with gradual ascend. Lucky, June is a good time to travel Ladakh. Snow will be cleared more or less from all the passes by that time. If you are a good rider in general or have experience of riding in mountains, you should not have issue riding in Ladakh too.
Sir,are the tour operators in govt website believable?? And hotels too?! Actually we are 4 in family with a kid, therefore I am cautious about the information about hotels and other services Thank you

Very nice and informative video...I hv a question...if road between tso moriri and Spangmik via Chushul is closed by army then what should be the alternative? Should I think about the route through spangmik- upsi-chumathang-mahe-tso moriri?
In general, that road remains open now. Otherwise you can take road from Tangtse - Erath - Nama (near Chusul) - Kaksang La - Mahe. But this road is very secluded so travel only when there are multiple vehicles.
Hi Dheeraj, my parents want to visit Leh from Lucknow for a trip of 7 days. Can you suggest the places that they can cover in those many days, the number of accommodation changes, etc. I'm very confused if I should book a planned trip for them, however, the planned trips generally are about 20k per person excluding the flight tickets from Lucknow to Leh. Do you think that self planning can be cheaper for them as a couple? I'm not so sure about the cost of local vehicles that you can book. What's the prospect of booking vehicles for local sightseeing for a day, etc (assuming that it won't be a shared and just be allocated to them?)
Hi Koshika, well, first thing is that they will have to fly into Leh and fly out of Leh. I think that seems clear to you. For itinerary of Leh by Flight, I will advice you see my video: th-cam.com/video/3GVBLP9NYxw/w-d-xo.html This will give you some idea and important things to consider. Are you planning to get them a private taxi, all to themselves? If yes, cost of private taxis are high. Assuming they will at least do 3 day Nubra Pangong trip, that itself is about 22500 Rs. Then Leh local sighseeing is like Rs 3000-3500. So, you need to get them shared tour where taxis can be shared by other tourists too to save cost here.

There is no only booking for HRTC leh buses. You have to book from the counter at bus stand. Seats are first come first serve.. HPTDC Leh bus does have online booking when it starts, generally in July.
Do u arrange trips.

Food expense per day may be around 200 per day. So 2400 to be added to final figure. Am I right?
Yes Raj bhai.. but I used 300 as upper figure considering other miscellaneous costs as well as assuming few times you may eat at high end restaurants, sometimes at dhabhas and sometime packed food and snacks and sometimes drinks.. so I averaged them to 300-350 making it like 3600-4000
Thank you Sir , very useful information. I am planning solo trip to leh ladakh. Should i go in june or july? Can you pls make a video on how to book public transport online or where to book these bus tickets in person from srinagar leh manali delhi route
Srinagar Leh Bus and Manali Leh Bus k videos aapko isi playlist mein mil jaayenge aap unko dekhein details k liye
Dear Dheeraj Ji
Can we go by Hyndai i10 to Laddakh via Srinagar.
Last year i went to spiti valley till cheecham bridge via shimla
You can do it Pawan, you have seen the roads in Spiti. Similar roads will be there
Thank you for the detailed information.
I will suggest that you watch below two videos and decide with pros and cons:
1. th-cam.com/video/74tczptZ6tU/w-d-xo.html (10 days Ladakh Trip Plan)
2. th-cam.com/video/4Se3aQfRovw/w-d-xo.html (12 Days Ladakh Trip Plan)

What about food
I think I did mention food as well in the video..
Sir please suggest Best agency for ladakh tour

Also will get bike local in leh and is is safe in June to do local site seeing by bike ?
Lucky, June is a good time to travel Ladakh. Snow will be cleared more or less from all the passes by that time. If you are a good rider in general or have experience of riding in mountains, you should not have issue riding in Ladakh too.
Sir,are the tour operators in govt website believable?? And hotels too?!
Actually we are 4 in family with a kid, therefore I am cautious about the information about hotels and other services
Thank you

Very nice and informative video...I hv a question...if road between tso moriri and Spangmik via Chushul is closed by army then what should be the alternative? Should I think about the route through spangmik- upsi-chumathang-mahe-tso moriri?
In general, that road remains open now. Otherwise you can take road from Tangtse - Erath - Nama (near Chusul) - Kaksang La - Mahe. But this road is very secluded so travel only when there are multiple vehicles.
Shared taxi main kitne log share karte hai?
Shared taxi mein around 6 log rehte hain
How to reach Udhampur to Leh
Udhampur to srinagar by bus/shared jeep and then further to Leh by bus or shared jeed.
Udhampur to Leh bus cost
Not sure but should be around Rs 250-300
For itinerary of Leh by Flight, I will advice you see my video: th-cam.com/video/3GVBLP9NYxw/w-d-xo.html
This will give you some idea and important things to consider.
Are you planning to get them a private taxi, all to themselves? If yes, cost of private taxis are high. Assuming they will at least do 3 day Nubra Pangong trip, that itself is about 22500 Rs. Then Leh local sighseeing is like Rs 3000-3500. So, you need to get them shared tour where taxis can be shared by other tourists too to save cost here.
i booking my flight tickets 3200/- per person
You got an awesome deal!
