Just what I needed and very nicely done. Thanks very much. I do have to say, however, that some of your "scrap" could be used to make a stock that could be the base for soup, stew, etc. Don't mean to nitpick--I really did find the video extremely helpful. Thanks again.
Thanks for the great video. Not trying to judge here or anything but why does everyone wear gloves when doing this? Why not just wash your hands thoroughly afterward?
Good question, as washing your hands is just as sanitary but the big one is, it’s perceived more sanitary. An the other is a lot of time BBQ videos are made by people who compete or are working outdoors where there is limited access to sinks, running water and it just becomes second nature to wear them even if they are indoors.
Can’t believe you’re throwing that pile of meat away. You just discredited yourself as an authority on pork management, with this post. You just lost a subscriber.
He is a professional and a barbecue competitor. He’s tell you how to cut it correctly for a competition. He should know you don’t have to throw it away, I certainly don’t, I eat it all!
thanks, quick and easy trim method. local markets here always sell spares as st.louis style and theyre over priced.
Straight to the point, no annoying music or "special" effects, and just a solid guide.
Thank you.
great video man, for people who love food and cooking I can appreciate the details and time you took to explain everything
I appreciate that!
I grill the outside skirt. I just couldn’t believe you said to toss it.

My first attempt didn’t go so smooth but with your explanation it’ll go much better next time. Thank you so much
Thanks for sharing your trimming skills
I've struggled with this. Thank you.
There's a really nice cut of meat in what he's throwing away, or am I mistaken?
I don’t throw anything away … but he’s a pro and cooks for competition. I cook to eat so everything goes down the gullet !
@@bobmcwilliams4416that normally gets smoked and put in beans around here
This video is underrated.👏👏
Wow thank you :)
You can use a butter knife to get the membrane easy too
Throwing out the skirt too?

I think you might be speaking of the top portion of the ribs? Not sure if you watched the full video but that was used for rib tips.
@@mikegsutton At 10:27 he shows what he's throwing away. Looks like still some good meat in there but it's his choice.
Do you know why this video has so few views and shares? You talk too long and don't perform. Get to the point. Execute. Move on.
wow, you should be an agent.
