I bought mine in 1991. This amp is absolutely superb even today. I'm so happy that I purchased it along with the 5000A combination. It's not for sale even though there may be things out there that could sound better because changes in technology. I have heard many amps in preamps over the years. After many audio shows and demonstrations, I still come back home to enjoy my equipment. It just simply became a lifetime experience that I am still enjoying to this day.
That is a beautiful piece of audio gear. I cannot imagine the joy of listening to my favorite music and finding new favorites with it. However, I'm completely unworthy of owning such great audio equipment. Someday I may find something half as good on the trash heap and fumble my way thru a half-a$$ed restoration.
@@PrimeHiFi I heard a system in the late 80s that was the Kenwood LO7 Monoblocks, Kenwood L07C preamp, Yamaha T2 tuner, Stax Quattro ii CD Player on Canton CT80 speakers. This system sounded amazing. Those Kenwood LO7 monoblock amps sounded like top of the line Tube amps.

My father had a pair of these with a Luxman Preamp driving the JBL 4350 Professional Studio Monitors

My father would take 4 hours to warm up the amp M6000 before playing it 😂 The sound improves the longer you warm up those caps beasts for sure 👍

FM BC I prefer the L-07M’s. Better resolution and sound quality. For looks I choose the M-4000
