When I received it, I noticed that there was an area where the glazing was cracked and the stitching had popped. How could they have missed these very obvious flaws? But to be honest: even if it would have come to a solution then, it would have been too many hoops to jump through: the VC chat, a second check and email afterwords and then finally IG conversation. What is happening to me I wouldn't wish on anyone. First I buy a bag the same as one I had already bought last year and when it arrives I realize that each one has different details and I take it to verify in the Louis Vuitton store, realizing that both bags are fake, I claim them and they send me the label and they say again that the bags are original, where even the code that one of them has inside does not match any country or the brand, the other with details that even a child realizes are false, they tell me that They will publish both bags on my account because they comply with the details of the publication and the brand, this really does not seem real that it is happening to me, how am I going to sell two bags on my profile that are fake and that they themselves sent me, So I tell them that they should accept their mistake and that they should sell it and give me my money back. I'm tired of complaining to them and they only say that they understand my situation but that they should publish it on my profile. In other words, they are forcing me to sell two fake bags. ENDS HERE, while I am in this process I receive a mini backpack that I was waiting for before realizing the aforementioned situation and upon receiving it and seeing that I did not like it I gave the option to resell before 72 hours and When I get to them they tell me that they have canceled the sale because it did not pass the quality control and that I must pay 15 euros to return said backpack, but we are talking about the backpack that they sent me authenticated and with its authentication label without taking off, So it means that they sent me a fake backpack too and they are blaming themselves without realizing it, that's where you realize that their "expert, digital and personal authenticators" are a big lie, they don't respond to my messages and now They themselves have 5,715 euros in their hands that belong to me, because I have paid 2,295 for one bag, 2,230 for another and 1,190 for the mini backpack, I am desperate with this situation. 06/28/2024
Shocking U-turns by VC! As far as I'm aware, it's the only large pre-loved platform for the UK so while I'm searching for something I can only buy pre-loved, it's the only place I've looked. Really not keen on committing to any purchases through them though. Another video highlighting your other bad experiences would be good to hear share 💕

Just received my first and LAST purchase from here. Ordered a beautiful Gucci bucket bag. It was thrown in a box without ANY protection. Nothing. Not a tissues, bubble, paper, or waterproofing item. So upset about this experience. Went in chat and got the run around and was even asked to clarify what protection I was talking about. Seriously?! Would not tell me if they usually ship / pack this way. Apparently the agent will reach out to me when they have an update. Not holding my breath. AND the kicker... my bag was also authenticated by "Marie" as well. 🙄😡

I also wanted to add I am going through the same buyer experience of a bag that were supposed to be ‘never worn’ and when it arrived the outside were in perfect condition however on the inside there were blue ink marks. I did pay for authentication and it came smoothly through with no remarks. After the second evaluation it still were ‘as described’. But I would not sell the bag as ‘never worn’ when there are obviously signs of use! VC also listed the bag as the price I gave right after the second verdict and then I had to deal with offers… I mean. I am not going to use VC after this experience, either!

Same applies to me The customer service is completely awful 1- authentic team just sent the measurement with a picture. I asked for further checking. No one replied but kept asking to confirm. I have no choice but to use my eyes to verify the pattern. 2- once I clicked the confirmation, they said they will check further for me but again no checking (and kept claiming that the bag is confirmed). If this is the case, why ask me again and again? 3- seller promised to send me the branded dustbag and they HELD the dustbag and gave me a BROKEN company bag. I then asked what’s happening and again they said it’s not in the description. They kept asking me to confirm the receipt of the bag and then shifted all responsibilities to me with NO reply. 4- cs staff said I understood you but no more helping and said this is the best teaching materials. Who cares to the teaching materials?

I feel very sorry for you. From my experience was that VC would deleted away the descriptions and photos that put up by the seller and they even amended the correct measurement and put in their wrong measurement which make the seller very annoying and cannot do anything with it. I am very curious on how can they allowed their staff doing such things. Anyway I also never use them again.

What a disaster, I'm so sorry! I wish EU had a proper preloved platform. US has such great sites, us Europeans are so disadvantaged! Vestaire is very poorly designed, you can't even report listings that don't make sense or are straight up incorrect. People list LV monogram pieces as "exotic leathers", there is no requirement to give measurements of the items and nobody can do anything about it. For the size VC is, you would definitely expect better. It's like someone created the site and left it to run without supervision.
I really wish, there would be another big preloved plattform, that does a better job. Even the amount of fakes, that make it on the plattform is shocking (one can just hope, that the quality control is able to spot them, once they get sold) 💔

I am also extremely disappointed with VC, I had several items which I sent back because they did not match the description and had issues not visible on the photos. To be honest, since once the authentication service did not see clearly visible flaws, I only bought with direct shipping - and up to now I was lucky to be able to return anything with just contacting them and sending proof pictures. It would make me angry to know I payed and they did not do their job, and i'm stuck with a piece I do not like or want like that and the money gone for the "authentication". And the chat service is absolutely desastruous. I am always contacting them by mail, it takes longer, but at least I have the impression I get a more competent answer. But what they did to you ist horrific. So in theory, I can upload a blurry picture where the defects are somehow visible (if you know they are there) and get away with it? So that bag is faaaar away from very good condition with those scratches! I have also seen items listed as very good with clearly visible flaws in the pictures. but nothing in the description. It's somehow a current disease on the preloved market - not only VC but for example also on vinted - I am so disgusted, really.... I sometimes think to myself, maybe it's better like this, because I have a place less to shop...

I bought an LV purse with them and it was fake!I confront them and they told me that they couldn't do anything because they authenticate it ! But I pay for doble authentification and end to be fake !It was almost a thousand dollars scam!

I've never shopped at Vestiaire Collective. They were definitely in the wrong here. These scratches are not something you can just "miss" and insist the bag is in "very good" condition.
Wow that is terrible customer service! Vestiaire should have considered your buying history. Of course they should respect every customer. No one should experience this, but VC really should consider the consequences more carefully of alienating someone who has been a loyal shopper. Sorry you had to deal with this on the holidays!

Depends on where you live and where the item you buy is located. But yes: if you live in the US and order from Europe (or vice versa), you have to pay customs and taxes

Fun fact: you‘re not even that late, since I still haven’t „payed my bill“ 😅🙈. I chose „Klarna“ as my payment method (a afterpay-service) - and when the issues with VC popped up, I reported it to Klarna and asked them to please pause the requested payment, until the issue is solved. They wanted me to reach out to VC (which I definitely have), and since VC didn’t help with solving the issue, it’s now up to Klarna to get in contact with VC and find a solution. It has already been months now (and the bill is still „paused because of damaged item“ 😂)… I even contaced Klarna in the meantime to ask, if there are any news and if I should finally pay and they just said, it still takes time and they‘ll let me know, when there are any news 🤷🏻♀️

Your mistake is that you choose authenrication and control.. if you order directly from seller you always can return as they trust buyer eveb buyer lies and just bot like or not fit..

This is a disgrace!!! I’m stuck on the idea that you could lose money reselling this and they are ok with it! Even if they didn’t take a commission you would still lose, especially if someone sees those scratches! They did everything they could to shift the blame and get out of losing a cent. I’m not the type who expects flawless items preloved, but that was a hugely defective item and they should be ashamed!
Loose money and it might take foooorever, til I get any money back at all. Charlotte Olympia is not that well known and super popular, that their items sell that quickly. And I heard horror stories, where people were forced by VC, to sell on items, they wanted to return because of the condition not matching the description (like in my case) - and when they finally got sold months later, VC’s quality control rerejected them, because they wouldn’t match the description/condition. I could definitely see that happening for me, if someone else than „Marie“ got that bag to check, when I would sell it as „very good condition“ in a few months from now 😤

Be careful on every stage of your purchase as they select "product authenticity verification" which is 1. expensive 2. yields no written certificate (worthless) 3. places your pre-loved product into VC's fumbly careless fred flintstone hands to repackage ahead overseas shipment. VC issue/request page is intentionally incomplete - flagging your issue as incomplete and un-sendable without specifying your Country (the page offers no Country selection window). Resist the urge to make this company your regular retail stop. VC is Fly by night and we can expect them to be gone soon.
You are not being to pickey, the box has lots of scratches. The whole ordeal with VC does not seem luxury when the customer service become so troublesome. Is it luxury because you need to put in so much free work in mailing, pictures, travel, phone calls? I begin to wonder and it makes me way less interested in luxury from grey market. Sad to hear it became so stressful.

Oh Mary, in this instance VC are clearly in the wrong and I’m really surprised they would risk losing a longtime customer like you over a €180 bag. Very shortsighted on their part! Such a shame because when they’re on form, they’re very good and I have recently bought a Dior bag from them too which has turned out amazing for me (reveal coming soon!) 😆 Onwards and towards Mary! Vestaire is very poorly designed, you can't even report listings that don't make sense or are straight up incorrect. People list LV monogram pieces as "exotic leathers", there is no requirement to give measurements of the items and nobody can do anything about it. For the size VC is, you would definitely expect better. It's like someone created the site and left it to run without supervision.
I really wish, there would be another big preloved plattform, that does a better job. Even the amount of fakes, that make it on the plattform is shocking (one can just hope, that the quality control is able to spot them, once they get sold) 💔

Plattforms with a proper return policy should be less risk - I hope I‘ll find an alternative for preloved luxury with better customer service 🙈
omg sorry about this, those are too many scratches for the quality they gave it! I feel like i can only buy preloved if I can physically see the item before purchase, buying unseen online is just too risky!

I am also extremely disappointed with VC, I had several items which I sent back because they did not match the description and had issues not visible on the photos. To be honest, since once the authentication service did not see clearly visible flaws, I only bought with direct shipping - and up to now I was lucky to be able to return anything with just contacting them and sending proof pictures. It would make me angry to know I payed and they did not do their job, and i'm stuck with a piece I do not like or want like that and the money gone for the "authentication".
And the chat service is absolutely desastruous. I am always contacting them by mail, it takes longer, but at least I have the impression I get a more competent answer. But what they did to you ist horrific. So in theory, I can upload a blurry picture where the defects are somehow visible (if you know they are there) and get away with it? So that bag is faaaar away from very good condition with those scratches!
I have also seen items listed as very good with clearly visible flaws in the pictures. but nothing in the description. It's somehow a current disease on the preloved market - not only VC but for example also on vinted - I am so disgusted, really.... I sometimes think to myself, maybe it's better like this, because I have a place less to shop...

I bought an LV purse with them and it was fake!I confront them and they told me that they couldn't do anything because they authenticate it ! But I pay for doble authentification and end to be fake !It was almost a thousand dollars scam!

I‘m sorry I introduced you to the world of great VC deals, to now tell you, the plattform isn’t trustworthy 😕. I had hope for a solution, when VC agreed with me on Instagram - but I don’t think they will change their mind again (unless this video really goes viral 😅). And if that‘s what it would take, so I could return an item, that doesn’t match their own terms - that‘s too many hoops to jump through!

I've never shopped at Vestiaire Collective. They were definitely in the wrong here. These scratches are not something you can just "miss" and insist the bag is in "very good" condition.

Wow that is terrible customer service! Vestiaire should have considered your buying history. Of course they should respect every customer. No one should experience this, but VC really should consider the consequences more carefully of alienating someone who has been a loyal shopper. Sorry you had to deal with this on the holidays!

Mistakes can happen and I even could live with the stress of contacting their terrible customer service and jumping through hoops to get a secon check. Depends on where you live and where the item you buy is located. But yes: if you live in the US and order from Europe (or vice versa), you have to pay customs and taxes
the tax has been paid via the application (the application shows shipping costs and customs taxes) or I have to pay tax again when the goods arrive?

I could have lived with that „little mistake“, that happened at the first check by VC - but definitely not with the way they handled the whole situation 💔 enough is enough!
This is terrible! I know it’s a bit late, but if it ever happens again (hope it doesn’t), you could dispute the charge with your credit card company.
Fun fact: you‘re not even that late, since I still haven’t „payed my bill“ 😅🙈. I chose „Klarna“ as my payment method (a afterpay-service) - and when the issues with VC popped up, I reported it to Klarna and asked them to please pause the requested payment, until the issue is solved. They wanted me to reach out to VC (which I definitely have), and since VC didn’t help with solving the issue, it’s now up to Klarna to get in contact with VC and find a solution. It has already been months now (and the bill is still „paused because of damaged item“ 😂)… I even contaced Klarna in the meantime to ask, if there are any news and if I should finally pay and they just said, it still takes time and they‘ll let me know, when there are any news 🤷🏻♀️

I find Vestiare excessively overpriced and on top of it they slap all sorts of charges. Most of their bags are in terrible condition.
There are some gems at good prices - when beeing offered from private sellers (but they usually sell quite quickly)… and the VC extra charges definitely are a bad joke (especially since they do nothing to help the customers! 🙄)

Your mistake is that you choose authenrication and control.. if you order directly from seller you always can return as they trust buyer eveb buyer lies and just bot like or not fit..

This is a disgrace!!! I’m stuck on the idea that you could lose money reselling this and they are ok with it! Even if they didn’t take a commission you would still lose, especially if someone sees those scratches! They did everything they could to shift the blame and get out of losing a cent. I’m not the type who expects flawless items preloved, but that was a hugely defective item and they should be ashamed!
Loose money and it might take foooorever, til I get any money back at all. Charlotte Olympia is not that well known and super popular, that their items sell that quickly. And I heard horror stories, where people were forced by VC, to sell on items, they wanted to return because of the condition not matching the description (like in my case) - and when they finally got sold months later, VC’s quality control rerejected them, because they wouldn’t match the description/condition. I could definitely see that happening for me, if someone else than „Marie“ got that bag to check, when I would sell it as „very good condition“ in a few months from now 😤

Yep - they suck. l'expérience était de la merde - VC's customer service and quality is non-existent. Be careful on every stage of your purchase as they select "product authenticity verification" which is 1. expensive 2. yields no written certificate (worthless) 3. places your pre-loved product into VC's fumbly careless fred flintstone hands to repackage ahead overseas shipment. VC issue/request page is intentionally incomplete - flagging your issue as incomplete and un-sendable without specifying your Country (the page offers no Country selection window). Resist the urge to make this company your regular retail stop. VC is Fly by night and we can expect them to be gone soon.

You are not being to pickey, the box has lots of scratches. The whole ordeal with VC does not seem luxury when the customer service become so troublesome. Is it luxury because you need to put in so much free work in mailing, pictures, travel, phone calls? I begin to wonder and it makes me way less interested in luxury from grey market. Sad to hear it became so stressful.
