- The Skylanders Fan Community is a very persistent one, and I can fully appreciate why, Skylanders are pretty awesome! With so many requests still coming my way to do more Skylanders focussed videos on PopCross Studios, I decided to ask my subscribers which Skylanders would make the best Superheroes! With over a thousand great suggestions, I widdled it down to four that I thought would be the most fun to use for today's episode!
I turned Tree Rex, Pop Fizz, Terrafin and Rollerbrawl into superheroes set in the same universe as my SCP Superheroes and Minecraft Superheroes. I took heavy inspiration from Marvel's X-men and I guess a bit from Sky High to come up with a story setting and background with these characters all being students or graduates of Skyland Academy!

Nice designs as usual! I'm not that familiar with Skylanders, so I might be wrong, but if the DNA-coded portals are a way to work the toys-to-life into the lore, that's genius! If that's in the games, that's even better.
Sooo þe dna coded portals are original, but how would he work in þese teams of aliens being sent to Earþ by all þese explosions (Hydra, Iron fist of Argus, Eruption of Mount Cloudbreak, & Destruction of Cloudcracker) & being brought back to þe skylands by some “Portal Master” into þis?
Skylanders is a series I know isn't exceptionally amazing gameplay and character design wise, but is nevertheless important to me and I feel this video really showcased how appealing the simplicity of their designs is and how nicely and easily it translates to a traditional superhero format, I really hope this isn't the last Skylanders video you make, something about you doing something with this series at all makes me unreasonably happy
Yeah the story is kinda basic but it's a fun game so it's not bad

So we’ve done heroes, now what about the opposite, “Skylanders as Villains”?
There are certainly some sinister looking Skylanders, but I would find it quite funny if you did one of the more “cuter” ones, like Pop-Thorn. Maybe even use some of the variants of the Skylanders, like the legendaries.
Edit: I’m also curious how you would interpret lightcores, since they’re pretty much just the normal ones with glowing bits.
Well, they have villains in the Doom Raiders, and various other characters like Baron Von Shellshock, Kaos, etc.
Ghost Roaster, Boomer and Voodood actually have become villains in one of the Skylanders comics, if I'm not mistaken, so they'd fit right in the shoes of evil.

I wasn't expecting Skylands to be accessible from Benny's world as or have a counterpart. Though that isn't too surprising given the nature of Skylands itself and now we know where Eon has been spending part of his time and of course he wouldn't like the foundation at all. Really selling the prospect that the beast world and the superhero world are closely connected given how there is now two different dimensions that overlays and connects with both, the nether realm and Skylands. Frankly I prefer the more wild side within Tayrun's world and I hope Tree Rex can still appear over there in his more monstrous appearance. It would be weird to not have all the Elder Elementals in Tayrun's world. Speaking of which Tree Rex probably knows about the Forest of Gaint Insects and the world on the other side considering that hrle is a gaint and is unharmed being near the gaint insects.

Here is a unique idea what if every once in a while you take some of your older drawings like drawings from the avengers as dragons or Pokémon as superheroes and redraw them then compare them to see how you’ve grown. I know you do that with the spider sonas but I think it would be interesting if you did it with different topics

Gill Grunt? He’s definitely one of the most popular Skylanders (even going so far as to take part in the back story’s of other Skylanders) and his backstory could translate well.
If you're considering a sequel to this video I have a couple of suggestions.
Fryno - With his move set and motorcycle, I could definitely see him as a Ghost Rider type character.
Trap Shadow - Could definitely see as a Batman type character, but a little more mystical.
Crusher - Looking at Crusher's designs you could make very much like Thor in some ways. Heck you could make it so that the character has daddy issues because an upgrade for Crusher's hammer makes it look like his father's face.
Starstrike - This one is a bit of a long shot, but it could very well work. You could make her similar to that of Scarlet Witch. I know she's a bit more humanoid than the rest, but since you can't see her face it could be said that she's an inter dimensional being or something.
For Valentine's Day, draw Animated Couples as Dungeons & Dragons or Suicide Squad
Examples: Aang and Katara, Luz Noceda and Amity Blight, etc.
The suicide squad one is a great idea, +1 for that!
Awesome episode!!! I have some questions for you (answer if you want):
1)Could you do Scooby Doo monsters as mech armors?
2)And are you going draw some of the eluded characters (for example: Tai Lung Mech, Benny's Goopy Games Mech, Ant-Man Dragon or the Bane Titan)?
3)Are you going to draw more mech suits?
4)Are you going to do an episode with random suits made by Benny Sharp that will have some of the suits that were eluded in other videos (for example: Tai Lung Mech, Benny's Goopy Games Mech, Colossus Mech, Benny's Christmas Mech)?

This was a really great episode! Maybe you could do Skylander Dragons as heroes, like Spyro or Sunburn? There are a lot of dragons in Skylanders and it would be awesome to see them as superheroes! Or even doing the main Skylander team in *Skylander Academy* with Spyro, Stealth Elf, Eruptor, and Jet Vac? You already did Pop Fizz, so maybe you could do those two also?
1st: cool concept, be interesting to see where you go with this. Might be cool to include Spyro as a sort of Superhero Myth that's never been confirmed or denied.
2nd: I come to you once more in the hopes that you'll do something D&D related for Friday to coincide with the premier of Critical Role's Legend of Vox Machina. Possible ideas include Dragons as Superheroes/Villains (It has been a while since you've done any kind of Dragon video it feels like...) or Classes as various Gods.
Skylanders was such a huge part of my childhood, I hope that it comes back now that Microsoft has bought Activision

Do not get your hopes up. Skylanders is dead and done. And that is good. Don't get me wrong, I loved all six games, but I am just fine with these six games. Anyone reboots it, will be something different.

Hope an Epithet Erased video can happen to celebrate the book coming out. This series is what made me realize that the story of dnd campaigns are hysterical.

Request log Upload 52: A Terraria or Madness Combat-focused episode. Terraria as DnD monsters or dragons, MC characters as various anime, Transformers, or anything else you can think of. They could both easily be made into amazing art pieces no matter what you decide to mix them with.

These were incredible. I love your superhero videos a lot and I like that you went back to Skylanders, so to see you draw MHA characters as badass Kaiju is amazing. I like Tree-Rex’s,Terra-Fin’s and Roller Brawl’s designs the most. Tree-Rex just looks like a cool hybrid of an Ent, brawler and a guardian...a great champion of Mother Nature, Popfiz makes him look like that genius science kid...who can also kick butt and who’s a bit crazy giving him that mad scientist title, Terra-Fin is just sleek and makes him look a cool boxer/brawler with the spirit of a shark...making sure no one underestimates this fighting predator, Roller Brawl’s makes her look like a sleek rogue who’s great in combat while also having the physique of an Olympic athlete...plus she looks badass as a roller blader. Just like in the last video, these designs were outstanding and I can’t wait to see more Superhero themed videos...especially if it’s turning characters into superheroes (perhaps maybe turning the Jaegers from the Pacific Rim franchise as superheroes). I also can’t wait to see a Benny Sharp and Champagne McGregor episode when it comes out after you finish Mara’s story in the multiverse tales episodes. Great job as always Christian and I can’t wait to see what you draw on Friday’s video.
P.s. do you think you could do a video of turning dinosaurs into mech armours? Cuz I want to see how Benny Sharp and Champagne McGregor would get along. Also do you think you could do a video we’re you turn Disney princesses into witches. Could you also maybe try something with Apex Legends.

I'd love to see the sewer queen as a super villain! She could be a rogue atlantian. Craig could be an evil inventor, Kelsey a disgraced warrior demigod who can control giant birds and JP could be a guy who can turn into a truck lol.
I love Craig of the Creek and its characters. It would be cool to see them drawn in Christian's style.

The designs in your Skylanders Superheroes episode are absolutely AMAZING! :)
Particular highlights include Terrafin and Roller Brawl.
Terrafin’s wrestler physique, paired with his mighty Vi-esque fists and fanged mouth, all work well together to make him look intimidating to any would-be challengers (such as Regenezard). The little elements you incorporated into the design - dirt being kicked up near his feet and wind streaks enveloping his fist - really sells the illusion that this character is in motion, which only enforces the idea that this is a well thought-out design.
Roller Brawl’s design is both visually appealing and frighteningly fierce. Lots of sharp edges around the prosthetic roller wheels, paired with the arm-mounted jutting blades, adds to the fierceness of the character, whilst the colour scheme (black, dark grey, purple, pink) is simply beautiful. I especially love how you adapted Roller Brawl’s skull helmet into a skull motif (black face paint, skull shoulder-pad, insignia on the chest, skull belt-buckle). Really clever. :)
If you ever do a sequel to this episode, might I suggest that you use the Magic Skylander Splat? She’s a faun with art-based superpowers and a vivid colour scheme.
Also, if you find the time, PLEASE do a sequel to the SCP Super-villains episode with SCP-953 (the Polymorphic Humanoid), SCP-353 (Vector) and Abel.

1) Yes! Drew him today and I guess they have some minor similarities, but pretty different overall.

If this does get a sequel (Which i would absolutely love to see) I'd love to see Double Trouble done, I also saw a comment of someone saying you could do some villians and I think that would be amazing with skylander such as once again double trouble, or some others like Ghost Roaster, Prism Break or Warnado even. Either way im loving the videos keep them coming they never disappoint thank you :)

I can definitely see all of those heroes as heroes in a series like my hero, awesome job.
I don't know why, but this has my mind spiraling with crossover ideas for your other videos, the most prominent of which is strangely the ideas that this could tie into the Skylanders as Monsters video, but that you could also do some interesting things with the new gimmicks they added with each new Skylanders game, such as by turning the traptonium crystals from Skylanders Trap Team into armor in your new medieval armor series, or perhaps doing something with the vehicles from Skylanders Supercharged. Whatever you end up doing, I'm sure it will end up being as fantastic as ever, as one of the best things about your videos is how you take ideas that nobody else would every come up with and make it something we can all relate to.

Pretty neat, don’t forget some of the Skylanders that I mention them in the community tab, also try doing Skylanders as Transformers, like if they’re in Beast Wars (which is a TF spin-off franchise, mind you)
Another classic. Love the Skylanders as superheroes. Especially Terra-Fin, he reminds me of the genius bruiser hero of my WIP story, Douglas the Dauntless.
OMG seeing Roller Brawl on this literally made my day, I was not expecting to see her on this list but WOW does she look great 10/10 on all of them but especially roller brawl
All I have to say is the stories and the designs are AMAZING. These designs bring back so many memories of playing the game. There should DEFINITELY be a sequel in my opinion. And characters like Snap Shot, Eye Brawl, Stealth Elf, Hex, and Chill would be really cool to see.
But weird idea: maybe you could do a fusion episode with the Skylander Heroes fused with the Wings of Fire heroes? Just an idea though 👍👍

Thx for the terra fin! I used to have Skylanders swap force when I was younger and I remember using him ALOT. He was my favorite and I even used him to beat the game! Seeing him like this brings me back to those memories and makes me happy.

Love the episode! The only design I was iffy on was Pop Fizz's and even that one was great. As for another Skylander theme video, I'd like to see more of turning Skylanders into monsters. You could even use some examples from this video for that one. But for the ones I would personally like. I'd think Hot Dog, Wreaking Ball and Shroom Boom. Turning really cute skylanders into horrifying monstrosities just sounds awesome to me.

Splitting my actual comment seperate: love this episode. Particularly like how Popfizz came out, really captured his personality well. Roller Brawl's story is also fun.
As for suggestions, both Flashwing and Whirlwind are personal favorites with a lot of potential, both from a power perspective and from backstory, given one is an alien and the other is a hybrid.
Roller Blade is now one of my favorites in Skylanders. I have never played the game before but I have seen the Netflix show.
tree-rex is the mascot of the giants so yes popular. pop fizz is kinda complicated but he's more of a teacher but you got his main gimmick in, so cool. Good job on it overall this is a really good series (both drawings and Skylanders)

Hey popcross amazing vid as always keep up the great work. I have a suggestion for a game you could use in the future it's called "ori and the blind forest" the designs of the characters are simplistic but really good imo, maybe you could pull something from there.
A very interesting video. The backstories were entertaining and the artwork was just really cool to look at. That’s something that I like with you and your work. Now, I’ve seen what you can do with iconic movie monsters, horror icons/slashers, and SCP creatures. Now I want to see if you can take it up a notch. Let’s see what you can do with iconic Creepypasta Characters or iconic Trevor Henderson Monsters.
Don’t worry, I still want to see more of your Multiverse artwork and stories, as well as more Cartoon Suicide Squad.

This was a good video I hope this does become an ongoing series as for suggestions for a sequel Spitfire, Crusher, Knight Light, and trigger happy would be cool to see
I´d LOVE to see more of this. Perhaps you could try this with characters like Scorp or Hex?
Also, a good Idea would be to do famous superheroes as Minecraft mobs
this was so cool, even had R.B. (Roller Brawl) she being my personal favourite, tbh, I wonder if there could be a part 2 in the future, but focused on the villains
I'm glad to see the new series might be starting and i really like you to bring back to superheros as transformers one it's one of my favorits along with DC and Marvel fusions
Sky High... you could have called it Sky High. I don't know if that would cause legal issues though. Either way, I love Skylanders so this is quite the exciting video for me to see, and I think your stuff is pretty awesome. Thanks for the cool videos!

Skylanders was one of my favorite games as a kid, and this was really cool to see. As a suggestion for your next vid, I think it'd be cool to see Halo Characters in D&D
I loved this! Skylanders was my childhood!! I especially loved the Pop Fizz hero! (Also ya gotta love that it’s in the same universe as Benny Sharp)
Also suggesting Trevor Henderson creations as dragons, anime characters if they were in Mortal Kombat, and that Rise of the Killer Mascots that I talked about in the MHA Kaiju episode
If you do a sequel to this, do Stump Smash, Magna Charge, Countdown, and Spyro. Heck, perhaps Spyro served as Eon's sidekick, but has lofty aspirations to become a solo hero.
Now these are some cool skylanders that are not as well know freeze blade is a really cool characters and it would be cool to see what you could do with him. Also shoom boom is a fun character that is very different and trigger happy is the best amazing art as always keep it up
Idk when will you do another round of elements as armors but I am already hyped about the next one I love the new narrator and the armor designs here are some suggestions
1)Electric armor
2)Metal armor
3)Ice armor
4)Bone armor (made of bone material from an Dragon)
5)infinity stone armor (it would be super awesome to see)

Splat from superchargers would be cool to see as a superhero. As usual I love the art and are loving the lore you gave them. I'm surprised by how close you were with Roler Brawl's lore compared to her original lore.
I liked this episode. Some of my ideas were turning Godzilla monsters into DC super villains or turning exotic fish into D&D knights. (:
