    I will NEVER cease to marvel at people who can somehow lay out the various leads and wires in an electrical system such that they look so smart and clean as yours do. Me? I'd wonder if I should lengthen or shorten a wire or start over with another lead or whatever. Such a masterful job of wiring! The matte green paint looks the business, too. Aloha!

    As I commented before, I started my "Camping career" in my uncles T2 Westfalia and love VW Busses ever since. This one is sheer perfection, minus only minor details. I would have left the colour ;-)

    Looking forward to seeing how it fares offroad.

    Another absolute cracker of a conversion Richard, executed to the highest level of perfection as per usual. Love the green colour, it suits its very green credentials. The finish and technology incorporated into this vehicle is outstanding. I much prefer this as an alternative to the latest VW offerings. I would imagine you will sell a few of these Richard. ❤

    Please consider one day doing a deep dive video on wiring? I'm particularly interested in the possibility of cheap low-end conversions (i.e. early 2000s Hondas, Toyotas) and I'm wondering how much there is to all of that. Keep up the good work, this channel is fantastic!

    Much better than VW iBuzz! I like the color, loved the original silver...but wouldn't know!

  • @g0fvt
    @g0fvt ปีที่แล้ว +6

    I think it is one of those colours that looks better the more of it you cover up. When you think about the hazards of propane cooking and heating sitting on top of 100kWh of batteries seems a smart move, as well as doing away with all of the condensation. Unlike the Ferrari I cannot think of anyone that would buy a VW Synchro for the engine sound. I look forward to the next video, will be interesting to see how the range is when you are just trundling around.

    • @geirmyrvagnes8718
      @geirmyrvagnes8718 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      I'm sure there are some VW sound enthusiasts, but I don't think those engines came with a soul installed as standard. 😉

    • @francesconicoletti2547
      @francesconicoletti2547 ปีที่แล้ว

      When the Wikipedia article on the Volkswagen Type 2 has an entire section on the various engine replacements for the camper I think Spud might be safe. Although the section might need an edit as it only mentions ICE replacements for the original engines.
      That colour seems to be a factory original along with a two tone brick, I have no idea why, the earlier and later models had much better paint schemes, the 70s have a lot to answer for.

    The colour reminds me of the agressively orange Westfalia my parents rented on our camping trip when I was little. It was an interesting trip that I think this one would improve on haha. It could barely go up hills, would roll like crazy around corners and it felt like it would get blown over when a transport truck flew by. Great memories!

    I love what you've done ... ... except for the colour. What a naff choice. And then you did it matt. I suspect that shade of green would look better in a gloss finish as the reflecting surface would reduce the 'in your face' feel it has now. But if I was still into camping I'd want one of these done this way. But, sadly, my wife considers staying at a Holiday In as 'camping'.
