Most touching live version of this song. Loved it since the first time I’ve heard it.
I FUCKING LOVE YOU KEVIN !!!!!
Oh man...oh MAN! Did not know they were back...please come to the U.S!!!
In my live very few songs made me cry. This one in '82 DID.
Friday and Saturday. Can't wait. Was at the Bush for this. Beautiful.
glad to hear it Al ..
Saw them at the cqaf belfast last may. Disappointed they arent back again this year. My fav band ever. Rowland and patterson both geniuses. Big jims trombone solo on this has always been beautiful.
Legends - saw them last night it was 'kin brilliant!
Argh! I can't believe I missed this! Thanks for posting the video
Thank you soooooo much for sharing this footage. Was there myself but at the back and with no camera :-( Amazing gig :-)
Many thanks for posting. The slowing down works brilliant.
Brilliant.
Just like a huge majority of great artists, Rowland is without any shadow of a doubt, a "tortured soul" screaming out to be loved & accepted by the world!!!
The great soul
thx for posting! nice version!
Great stuff
thanks looking forward to April at The Duke of York
big jimmy..he got soul...
There's lowering a key by a semitone or two, and then there's basically rearranging entire setlists for a baritone vocal range, yet its the same singer who originally sang all of these songs as a pop tenor - it's crazy. It's really interesting to hear these songs in almost completely new forms, but the contrast is too vast and Kevin's just restricting himself by not being able to push into his top ends 🤔 That aside, it's interesting to see Pete as the officer - I remember Kev did the "officer and a gentleman" bit back in 85 during The Occasional Flicker - all these years later it still finds its way into the sets !
Have posted a couple of videos of this skit and it is proper music hall entertainment. Great singing and a good laugh combined, what more could you want.
yam Bostin ay ya!!!
@Jon Evans Going the first night, may not get away with the camera in a bona fide theatre!
Pfew, memories.....
The business.......
OMG....Johnny Depp on guitar!..
