Love your Docs collection! I’m pretty sure that many around me don’t know that I’m obsessed with the look of Docs as I used to work for a financial institution for 20 years and would usually have a dressy/business casual look. At the same time, my high school days were during 90s grunge area. That’s when I got my first pair 6 hole boot style of Docs. The tops are spongy/cushiony which I love.
My go to pair are the black canvas pair that you showed... No break time needed for that pair. I now work as a teacher and they are so good! I’m thinking of getting another pair when I haven’t completely wine in the pair that I have already as they are so comfy!
I need those white sneaker Docs in my life. I didn’t know until this video that they even existed! Thank you for sharing!

Just got into the Doc scene, got a pair of 1460s and a pair of Dante Brandos. I said to myself no more, but i may break that because I'm eyeing a pair of 1461s and a pair of made in England's.

I have bought the Docs 1460 Mono Smooth this year, my first Martens and I absolutely love them, even though the break in was something different because I always had skate shoes. Great video! But I have a question, I have size 39.5 (german size) and since they don't sell half sizes I bought the 40 ones (should be 8.5 USA). Do you think this was okay or should I have ordered 1 size smaller because of the leather?
How do you keep your docs so clean?? I just got a pair of the Chelsea’s and literally got a scratch on them the first night I wore them and almost cried😭 that mind sound dramatic but I was so upset lol..

I know everyone says size down but everytime I do that with my other shoes, it’s too small. I wear 8 or 7 in a half. I picked 8 for the Chelsea, I hope they fit. I’d rather have a little space than have them be small with big socks. I’m worried now lol

You’re adorable and I loved watching. I bought the Rometty Chelsea boot and want to know the difference vs. Quad that you showed. Any idea? They look the same online
the Rometty has a small platform with a heel while the quads are just a full platform. the Rometty also has a slimmer fit!

I think you should get your normal size. I usually get size 4 for boots ( my size is between size 3-4) and I just got the same 2976 platform as in the video in size 4. They fit just fine once I wear them but damn it's so hard to get it at first. I'm still looking for a better way to break them in without painfully trying to get my feet in 🥲
Hey Katrina! If you live near by a docs store, I would go try on an 8 and a 7. If you have to order online, I would suggest doing an 8 and if they're too big adding an insole!! This style does tend to run a bit big. They are going to be super stiff at first but they soften up a lot once they break in :)

I have a pair of vegan 1460 lace-ups and I barely wear them because I have a high instep, and without proper soles, it’s painful and uncomfortable. But I love docs
So I got a pair of classic 2976s, my first pair of Dr Martens, the length seems ok but they’re very very tight everywhere else(especially on the sides and the top). I got a size 8 (I’m usually size 8 or 8.5) do they loosen up on the sides/ top? or should i just exchange them to a size9? I’m confused..😭😭..! Btw your collection is awesome!! Lovveee your video 💕💕
Hey! don’t worry too much about the width. you got the correct size! the sides and top both stretch out as you break in your shoes! if you want, use a leather conditioner to speed up that process :)

My Jadons they’re like my bestfriend we clicked the moment i put them on. My 1461s gave me a hard time to break in even with double socks haha but i love them both

Nice video. But all shoes are made by hand in shoe factories. They are just made in different countries. Made by hand is made by hand. Incidentally, the boot was made by a doctor who had broken his ankle. The boots were originally worn by women. They were used for gardening. Police and postal workers used them too. I have a couple pairs and I love them. One pair I have had for over ten years...they are all high quality. Doc Martin's use the same high quality leathers and foot base...just made in different countries because of the demand.

I tried on some Chelsea Dr Martens and I couldn’t get them on my feet 😭
It was SOOOOOOO tight trying to pull them on.
The next size up, I could slip into fine, but were too roomy.
they are super hard to get on at first haha but it gets a lot easier. definitely go with the size that isnt too loose
