I just syphon out the oil while it's warmed up, no fuss no muss or mess. It does need to be high enough off the ground, my bench, a catch can (I use a large plastic soda bottle, 2 liter I think) and about 3ft of 1/4 vinyl tubing is all that's needed.
Great video. Question: I’ve had the same first tank of gas in mine for a few years now and have never had to use the generator yet (bought it for an emergency). I only start it for a few minutes every few months. Should I run it until it runs out of gas so I can put fresh gas in? Idk much about generators but I imagine gas gets old and bad. Thanks for any tips.
Yes. I would run it out. I would keep the gas in a separate can with stabil in it and add a little when you start it and let it run out each time. also, it is best if you can use ethanol free gas. it's expensive, but ethanol is horrible for your engines. Hope this helps! Thanks for watching!!!
It recommends 10w-30, I wouldn’t see any issue using 5w-30, but I am not an oil expert either. Most engines that recommended 10-30 in the past now recommend 5-30. Thanks for watching!!!

Thank you for doing this video. As a single mother I had no idea what to do and would have just bought another one.

How often do you have to change the oil?
I try to change it every 50 - 60 hours. Thanks so much for watching!!!

What kind of oil are you using?
10-30 full synthetic. I usually use the Walmart brand. Thanks for watching!!!
What type of oil does it
Need what’s the information?
It uses 10w30 oil. I used synthetic.
Thanks so much for watching!!!
I saved the bottle of oil it came with so just had to refill that each time I did a change. No guess work for bottle held the precise amount needed.
Great idea! Thanks for sharing and watching!
Mine doesn’t have a dip stick.
Manufacturers are getting cheaper and cheaper. My transmission on my Jeep doesn’t either. Not even a port to add fluid….
Mine came with a Funnel that screw's into the hole ...
Nice! They should do that with all of them! Thanks for watching!!!
Would have loved to see how you actually check the oil and not just I cannot locate a dipstick on mine.
If you remove the side panel, It is on the bottom near the back. It is orange. Thanks so much for watching!
Didn’t show us the fun step of trying to remove the cover
These actually remove quite easily on this model... Thanks for watching!!!
