I relate to Alexa so much! Never been one to argue or make my voice heard, normally I stay quiet/cave. I feel very blessed to have a partner that is very much the opposite. We learn so much from one another. If there’s anything i’ve learn though, it’s better to say something than nothing at all. I too hope to find passions in life.

I got related so much with what Alexa said about being a people pleaser cause I feel the same way she feels. Hearing her talking about her new years resolution got me inspired to do the same resolution and start speaking up for myself and having no fear to say what I like and do what I like, I need to star having a voice and be the driver of my life. Thank you so much for sharing. First off, I use a Bible verse as my passwords so that it has numbers and a colon! For example “Genesis 1:1”. It works well :) but thank you for sharing your thoughts and feelings. I’m 24 and had open heart surgery this year, along with 5 other heart surgeries. I’ve spent 3 months in the hospital and when I’m not admitted i go to the hospital almost every day for appointments and cardiac rehab. I have been so weak for months and months that I’ve lost my voice in life. I’m trying to figure out how to get it back, so thanks for encouraging me. God is so good ❤️
I hope they try and Post the cruise vlogs daily instead of like 5 in one day (I like that normally) but cruise vlogs are my FAV and I don’t think I could wait a week to watch all of the fun!!
Yes! You got this Alexa! It's difficult to grow out of the habit of wanting to please others but you deserve a voice too. I completely related to what you were saying and even sent this message to my friend who is currently battling these sentiments. I'll keep you in my prayers. Ocean looked SO SO adorable in his winter coat!! You could tell in beginning of the blog that Ocean wants OUT of that playpen confinement!!! It seems that he spends a lot of time in confinement. I was so happy when Carlos said he was taking Ocean for a walk to get food! Hoping you will spend a lot of time following Ocean around the cruise ship letting him explore.

Alexa I have the same issues, and I am now trying to find my voice. It feels like I have this new found freedom that I didn't know I had. Currently I'm in a place of wanting to try new things to see if I like them or not. I'm also saying no a lot too, I used to never say no. It's a journey but I believe it's worth it. Reminds me of Santiago in The Alchemist.

Good to know there is someone else like me when it comes to conflict and staying quiet. I hate confrontation and just go along with anything that comes my way. Like you, my bf and I have also had arguments in regards to that. But I've been trying to get better at it.
Now with the traffic jam you were all in, I pray no one was seriously hurt. I was stuck in one a few years ago on the turnpike and it did not end well for one of the victims :(

Alexa, I really appreciate you sharing about your people-pleasing tendencies. I feel as if I am a people pleaser as well, but from a more dominant perspective (sometimes I feel as if I am responsible for others, even when I am not asked to be). I have leadership/caretaker personality so I don't always think about others who feel as if they don't have a voice in a situation. You really enlightened me to be more aware of friends that I have who are similar to you. I feel as if I could definitely be better at giving them the space to speak up about what decisions they want to make. Anyway, I just really appreciated what you had to say about this!! You preach it Alexa! I struggle with knowing myself, just the same way you were describing in this video. So often, it doesn't even enter my mind what I want, so I just go with what other people want. Hey, I just wanted to share this blessing that happened to me this Wednesday. So, there was this person who had been in a relationship with one of the closest people in my life and when they ended it, She kinda lost her way and we aren't close anymore and it's been killing me. I've been holding this against the guy she was with that he destroyed this relationship between my closest friend. And before church that day, I almost did not have a ride to church and I prayed for God to find a way for me to get there because I just had this feeling that I needed to be there for some reason. And when I got there the guy she used to be with was there and I shook his hand and said hello, (trying to be friendly) and for some reason,that is what gave me the Courage to forgive him. I always knew that I needed to forgive him but I couldn't find it in my heart to do so and I felt so convicted for that all the time but God created this time and place and plan simply for me to find a place to forgive him, because we are commanded to do so. Anyway, thanks for reading I really felt the need to share God's blessing today.

One of the great things about this Vlog is there's so many topics and situations that there's something for everyone. I totally agree with you on the password changes, not keeping them all the same and making them REALLY strong. There are too many bad people out there trying to do awful things with your information, internet safety is key!! I got hit with Spora Ransomware back on 4-22-17, I know the date because that's when every document on my computer & in the cloud was locked out to me 😱. I paid but they didn't unlock my files, they're lost forever😢😭😭. In addition to that, I found out I'm one of the 143 million unlucky people affected by the Equifax breach. I CANNOT stress enough BACK UP YOUR FILES to a separate offline location...flash drive, external HDD that's only connected to your computer for backups then disconnected from it. Keep us the great work guys!! 💖💖💖

Hey Alexa, I just want to say that I am dealing with the same thing about having my own voice. I told myself that I wasn't going to just say yes and let people tell me I needed to do something and just go along with it to avoid confrontation. Sometimes it's hard to be myself when I know people try to make me feel like I'm the odd man out. I longing to be 100% me. Not just today but starting this new year I'm going to try and put it into account.

Alexa, One of the greatest things I have used to find my "voice" was Ali Edward's One Little Word Workshop! I mean you for sure get out of it what you put into it, but the general idea of the workshop is taking one word and focusing on that word for the year. I have done this workshop for the last 6 years and loved all of the changes that it brought into my life! Just a thought!

Hey Lex, i know where you are coming from by being a "people pleaser" I'm always have been in the drivers seat and i come from a loud ish family as well so I've always not been confident enough to share my opinion and not be myself but we have to think that the only one that's stopping us from not being ourselves is us. God wants us to be us and how he made us and wants us to shine with the talents he's given us. I think that's going to be my New Years resolution too. To be more confident in myself.:)
