Damn she can sing. This song showed off most aspects of her amazing vocal talents. I’ve listened at least once a day for over a week. I was 19 when I heard on the radio of his passing, and many probably won’t believe this, but I grew up with this music and his music, and I had to pull off the road and collect myself. Pulled into a car wash to be specific lol. I really wish Blake Shelton had chosen another song to do other than Goodbye Time, but Conway’s performance (CMAs I think) of that song is still on TH-cam and if you haven’t seen it, I urge anyone to listen and watch. The man had it!
I was listening to Coast to coast radio years ago and Merle Haggard was a guest..he said country wasn't country any anymore ...he was discouraged but continued to record and perform in his own style and win hearts all over the country...ya just can't beat good! He will also be missed here in the Redding Ca. area and Palo Cedro where he lived with his wife

I remember at the age 14 where I was and what I was doing when I heard of his passing and I was thinking no I didn't hear that right. After the commercial they repeated it and I knew. I was deeply saddened because I had listened to his songs everyday in the car. I have since introduced him to my daughter who is 5 right now. I was surprised that she was singing along with "Hello Darlin."

She was always telling me that she wasn't going anywhere, so please take care of yourself. Unfortunately my Mom passed away, but I can never forget her words or your song.
