Quote Tony (at the fleamarket): "She (Renée) is one of my better friends !" Well, if you watch this vid, Tony, let me tell you that you are blessed with friends like that !
"Mean people suck". They do indeed. Cool vintage microphones from Ohio (if they work).
Great storage unit job, though it was hot, dusty and dirty, but it was also fun ! Thanks for sharing, Renée ! Greets from GER, U.

This unit reminds me of when I was still working. Our building was to be remodeled, so we had to move to another building. My (lovely, kind) boss printed everything that came to his email! It would get piled up on a big table with other paperwork. When we moved out of that office it all went into boxes. ALL OF IT! Ten years later we had been back in the building for nine years and it was all still in boxes! He really was a wonderful boss, but he couldn't get rid of anything!

I personally wouldn't throw away the furniture. It would be a great flea market item for others looking to upcycle vintage furniture! Besides they don't make furniture like they used to, everything is wood composite these days.
Such a wonderful unit. Your friend definitely scored!

Those home taped VHS tapes can be sold, but of course you would have to watch them. And what you are looking for are the ones that didn't have the old commercials deleted out. People will pay quite a bit for those that have the old commercials still in them.. That storage unit is a killer for Tony and you both !! Every time that you find something that like you need to yell out " HOLY MOLEY" !!!! Don't throw out the "VIEDOS" !!! Thanks for Sharing !

the physical reclamation of MIA work was done by archaeologist. My father worked in Grave Registration after WW2 and he worked under a new system that had been set up. It fell under The Quartermaster's Office. I'm sure you can look up the history of it, but it was a system set up immediately after WW2.

Hi! Just finished watching your storage unit "gamble" I love to see what you find. You get so excited! I went to a tag sale awhile back and grabbed a stack of vintage photographs and negatives. The negatives were the larger ones. Anyway, I didn't really go through them at the tag sale, but the top one is a vintage burlesque picture. There are also other pictures from WWII in there and it is an island right off of Japan. It is U.S. soldier. It has some pretty graphic pictures of deceased bodies, skulls, etc. Also the wording on the back were rather "not nice" when describing. I took some of the negatives and using a positive app on my computer was able to see the pictures. Those were of some amazing fun early 1900's pictures. Fun Halloween one where they were dressed up. Water rowing pictures and swimming pictures. All kinds. Those are neat. If I can I would love to send you some! If you want them.

A lot of history in that unit!!! At Arlington National Cemetery they have military history museums- if you are so inclined, they may be interested in books photos uniforms - even that army issued blanket. There are also more local groups of former military trying to preserve the past - a little on line digging should find you someone to talk to - as well as a lot of towns have a Vets representative that has office hours.
Thank you for the work you did to put names to remains. Both my parents were military in the 40s - and are buried at Arlington.

About the denim jacket: The patch of old "hippie" guy with the beard "just passing thru": he is Mr. Natural, a comic figure drawn by the artist R. Crumb in the late 1960s-early 1970s. I've got comics that I bought (at "head shops") back then and kept them all these years.

Those are CB mlcs. The one is called a Silver Eagle. They were the bomb back in the eighties. I had it and the other. We had a cb in the house and my husband was a truck driver. We were living in a little bitty town in Missouri called Minden mines. I was doing the check book one day and there was a deposit from somewhere in Texas for $250.00. I called the bank president and he said people will somehow get your checking account info and deposit and write hot checks on the account. So we changed our account # no checks had been written from whoever this person was. I asked Berries what should we do with the money he said well he put it in your account so it's yours. Ha! There was a very very tall CB Tower my friends had for sale so we bought that. I could talk to my husband while he was out in a lot of different states. Had a lot of good times with that. Good memories of friends made.

I'll put my dusty, musty "Storage Unit Face" on! Shame to dump that desk and dresser...those are from the 60's...the era of antique white and gold finished furnishings...no particle or press board then! That Astatic Mic...from the late 30's into the 40's period. I have the same one in my vintage radio and related items collection. Good evening ladies and gentlemen...and all the ships at sea!...it's the PAM Storage Unit Hour! As to those two mics...I'm looking for vintage types such as those to be used as props for a radio show production I'm involved in...perhaps Tony will want to sell them...let me know! I've been looking for these and other studio equipment for setting up the mock studio. Rather they be a part of our prop collection than ending up a the flea market. We are doing two shows...1947 "Through the Looking Glass"....1938 "War of the Worlds". We plan to Zoom these productions...as well in front of a live audience. EVERYTHING has a price!!!

I will be the announcer and possibly acting as well. These productions will be Zoomed...I guess you'd be able to receive Zoom material. Will let you know "air time".

I have a friend who was working in retail. This was a long time ago. The store was having a cutomer appreciation day and was providing free donuts and coffee. The manager created a sign on a piece of poster board. My friend walked to the front to have a look. She asked the manager, if he read the sign? He just looked at her and kept doing whatever it was he was doing. My friend walked to back so he would not hear her laughing. The sign read free dognuts and coffee. LOL

I'm glad I was nosey after my brother finally cleaned out his chest of drawers at our house. Something told me to look in the garbage can. He almost threw out my dad's navy work shirt when he was on ship in Hawaii. Its a cool white shirt with his name on front and the name of his destroyer ship he was on and it has a label made in Hawaii. Too cool I washed it and it came out bright white. I dont think my brother did it on purpose it was all balled up.

Sure those video tapes are now considered vintage and sell for good money? A bit like old photo film rolls.

Wow, someone's Iife in there! The owner must have passed away. So sad. Wonder how long that stuff was stored in there? Not to mention if it's hot outside!

Do you skip the gym on storage locker cleanout days? Looks like a big ol workout right there!!

I usually do, unless I go in the morning beforehand. By the time I get home, I'm too tired to do a gym workout, that's for sure!
