I recommend to not rely too heavily on a single hero. Yes they might be your most played but others could be more beneficial. With the way most of your team was playing Illari may have been a slightly better choice especially since you are capable of finding good positions that your team can fall back to
So you were Top 500. Were there a lot of zimmers in higher ranks? I have heard that there are a ton past Gold, so I have no motivation to rank up anymore; Also idk how you aim that well on Ana lol. I have found it hard with a controller.
@psivampire13 there were a ton of zimmers. Still a fair amount. Before the health changes I could duel the soldiers and sojourns by hitting sleep or anti but the health pool made that impossible now. But I'm super happy they are gone.
@Antonio-ys5zd fair point. My pool is Ana, bap, illari, zen. I was losing a lot on illari bap so I swapped back to Ana to climb. Oddly I get complained at for playing illari despite her naturally fitting my style.

People like that are annoying. I would definitely stand out in a Plat lobby cause I could just out gun them with bap. Which I've done before. I've taken several accounts to high masters or low gm just practicing heroes like brig or illari when she came out. I still feel I played this game well but there are some micro points to take away from this that'll be helpful in my climb back
On the other hand I've had diamond / master lobbies which I can honestly say were easier to play in than some of my plat games. A lot of carrying needs to happen in plat and a lot of MM luck comes into play more in metal.
Not gonna lie, if u stack up, u will rank up faster. This is why some people who play like bots are in a higher rank. If u get lucky with a good team, u will climb
I gave up on comming with people because of this (and similar) interactions: "Soldier low" 30 seconds later "Are you stupid? Their Soldier is full hp" I would like to comm and try be a team player, but I am 36 years old. 10 years ago I might have had the patience to deal with people in voice comms, but I don't anymore.
The communication and ping options have really allowed people to just stay off voice comms. "Widow top left" has been replaced with *ping* "enemy here" and so forth. But there's no "hey shitter, try turning on your monitor" button so all that noise gets funnelled to vc! Fun!
The point about Ana vs Bap is so true. Ana is my all time most played hero/best hero but I only have a 50% win rate this season on her in masters compared to Bap where I have a 65% win rate within the same amount of hours. He just provides so much sustainably to you and your team on top of solid dmg. He’s just in a much better state than Ana rn
I've watched replays of myself where I'm like "Well if I didn't suck so much I would've done a lot better there." But there's been so many where I'm watching someone else and I'm wondering if they have headphones, noticing they move really slow and don't seem to react to things at the edges of the screen (maybe they have default pov?) and then I switch to my screen and it's like I'm playing a totally different game. I've watched stuff like Cass ulting behind my team and in the replay there's four heads that remain looking in the opposite direction and you can see me whip around and fire like 4 shots at him right before he kills all of us.
Yep, sometimes i wonder if they even have monitors. If they ever check their health bar before they dive or ult. If they have any concept of how many teammates are dead or if people coming back from spawn already cought up. Some rounds you aren't grouped up once because everyone just runs in. Enemy ult voice lines are totally ignored, so are your own. Would be completely fine by me for lower ranks. But the game claims those people are the same skill . Sometimes i watch a review of my team and the enemy and it's nowhere close same skill.
I'm on console too and D3 on support and the biggest problem I see, is the aim smoothing. It looks like 99-100% what the most people have set on dualzone. I would try Linear and if it feels too sensitive you can higher aim ease in from 10-30%. What this does is adding a curve and make it exponential (what the most games use as default) BUT don't use the "Exponential" setting from the 3 you have because its just a clunky version of dualzone. What I play myself and recommend trying is: 50%-60% Horiz/Vertic Aim assist strength: 100% Window size: 25% Legacy mode: On Aim assist ease in: 0% Aim smoothing: 0% Aim ease in: 0%-30% Deadzone 4%-5%
This is brilliant! I recently switched from duel-zone to linear with very similar settings (after 1100 hours on duel-zone) and my accuracy improved by 15%-20% across the board. I'm able to track well with Solider and land a lot more sleeps with Ana. My aim ease in is 35%, and I think that's perfect for me. For anyone else, if you're doubting changing your sensitivity, just do it if you're seeing that you can do better.
Will never understand u players that like linear, even tho it improves ur aim it makes ur turnrate nonexistent iv seen too many Golds w this mindset & have decent aim but if Im Sombra or Tracer they die every time i dive them
Don't know how it is on pc but on console i had to leave voice chat, not just not talk i had to turn voice chat off. Because the times i received toxicity or racism vs team communication was 50/50 in ow1 but in ow2 it became 80/20. At that point it affects not only your gameplay but your mental health so i had to turn it off.😅
With all due respect, if random people on a dying video game are affecting your mental health, you maybe shouldn’t be playing online multiplayer games…

Don't have that problem in other games to that extent.

I had an Ana legit complain I couldn’t do anything with nano. It was a 1v4 and the Ana died giving me the nano. Then said tank diff cause I couldn’t get a nano kill against Bastion Mauga Zen and mercy. Who am I killing 😂
ill be honest, I havent used comms in over a year because last time I joined some old dude was yelling slurs at the whole team and I realised I just dont really have to deal with it. I get that it handicaps certain plays but I enjoy the game significantly more when I dont need to worry about random racists, homophobes and transphobes throwin around slurs all day

if you were truly a diamond level player, you would noob stomp silver lobbies. the other team has five silver skill level players. your team only has four. don't delude yourself here. you should be winning at least 60-70% of your games in silver and gold if you truly deserved diamond. sounds like the first step to climbing back to diamond will be accepting the fact that you're a silver player right now.
Same goes for Moira, and until recently Brig. And though I now like Brig's kit better than b4, I haven’t warmed up to her personality and character the way I strangely have to Moira. I haven't seen many people point this out but, the venture during second round literally held their ult from half-way during first point all the way till the end of third point. Using your ult is one of the most basic skills any overwatch player should have, how is someone in diamond holding their ult for so long.

not on role queue, this happens a lot in open queue, but role queue is always masters 1~gm1. I play on pc and ive never seen less than gm 5 on leaderboards. However i hit top 500 open queue all the time just memeing around in masters.

I love comments like "uh how am I x rank when this is Y rank". Looking at higher ranks it's very easy to compare yourself and think it looks similar... because everyone is playing against their own rank. If you out a diamond player against a silver, they'll smoke the silver. Simple as. Same thing if you put a GM against a diamond. Looking down on gameplay is a lot more enlightening. There are so many small differences that are hard to spot looking up, but very easy to spot looking down.
Personally i dont voice chat since i have a mild stuttering problem and in plat gold the comms are rarely worth it, its usually just an excusr to dump on you.
It's nice that Emongg tries to be nice in these vod reviews but I thihk he also needs to manage expectations. This player doesn't play like a T500. I'd even say they're playing a little lower than diamond skill level if not low diamond. They didn't say which rank they were in when they got T500. Chances are they got T500 when the ranks reset and everyone was back to plat-diamond levels in T500 Not trying to be a negative nancy but I think it's also important not to get the hopes of players up like this as in a few months time they'll just get frustrate and possibly quit when they haven't made significant improvements

For seasons 2-4 I was gm1 and I didn't play much so I decayed down but still stayed in gm. I managed to rank back up quite quickly after the reset but eventually went on a huge loss streak. Happens. I am sure I can climb again with adjustments. Feel free to think I'm a Plat player, can't stop you but I do have proof I have been gm for multiple seasons. I wouldn't need to lie. There's no incentive to do so
Also as far as I know top 500 hasn't ever been diamond. The lowest I've seen is m3 season 9. At least for support. I was m1 at a game away when it all went downhill.
Agreed because this was not top 500 quality. They really didn't make any plays, barely enabled their team, and honestly just played very passive as Ana. Continuing to heal a hog while their mercy is already pocketing them. Standing in front of the enemy team just to get HS by Zen. Stuff you would learn in plat. Their damage seems low, too. Responsiveness seemed very sluggish too (could be because of console). But then again console it's a lot more easier to hit master-gm. If they submitted this to sam1ito, i think it would be a different story.

Sometimes I appreciate pings even when I dont immediately respond because it helps my awareness and positioning

Responsiveness seemed very sluggish too (could be because of console). But then again console it's a lot more easier to hit master-gm. If they submitted this to sam1ito, i think it would be a different story.
@@dragngaming8365 I don't disbelieve you and I didn't mean for any hate, it just wasn't posted in the video so I could only assume from the gameplay I saw. Maybe I'm just not used to watching Overwatch on console but that was my honest opinion from the gameplay in this video. But hey, I'm a nobody. The problem with voicechat is if you curse and someone reports you, you can get a ban. I'm coming off a 2 week ban for saying something was a "bitch move" Right after I typed it I knew it was coming. Next day, 2 week ban. No more coms for me.
