I live right up the road from Taylor’s creek. In the 80’s and 90’s we use to park at the creek and walk down below the falls to camp and fish. Great memories.
@@Kayak7seas Enjoyed your video and response. We did Burgess Falls in August when lake level had dropped just enough we could not get kayaks into the pool at the base of the falls. For summer of 2022 we plan to go back in June and do Burgess and Fancher the same day to be able to get to the base of both falls. To save time and energy we plan to use our vehicles to shuttle between the two launch points.
@@johntapp1000 doing both on the same day I would definitely consider shuttling between the two launch locations, that's an ambitious goal. If you haven't checked out Twin Falls, (launching at Rock Island State Park) that's another very cool place, however as I understand it the current does not always make that one accessible.
Enjoyed the video. We met you that morning at the launch. We will definitely paddle to Fancher Falls now seeing your adventure. Good stuff, keep em coming.
Loved your video. We are currently researching kayaking. We would like to get a couple of sit on top style kayaks and have no idea where to start. We don’t want to spend $3000 or more for 2. We are 63 and 64 years old and camp a lot and always enjoy seeing folks on the water. Would appreciate some advice on what kind of kayaks would be good for two old fluffy people.
@@That_other_channel I'd say Burgess Falls will be pretty busy being another holiday weekend so Fancher Falls is a great choice. Hope you have a great time.
It was a 4 hour drive to get this area, but was well worth the adventure. I had brought the drone along however I couldn't get a gps signal for it so it wouldn't fly high enough to get any good shots.

Thanks buddy for your continued support watching and commenting on the videos, it means a lot.
Why did you choose to launch from Cane Hollow rather than the Cookville Boat Dock which would have cut the paddle by about half?
At the time I wasn't sure if it was a public boat ramp, and we wanted to have a nice long paddle ride.

Awesome! Thank you! How busy was Burgess Falls? I can imagine is was pretty packed. Good meeting you.
Looks like the paddle in was against the current. How difficult is the paddle?

We love our sit on tops, depending on the kayak weight and type of vehicle you have you may need to consider a trailer to pull them.
Also to cut down on cost you may consider looking at a used kayak to start out with
How long did it take to get to the falls from the ramp?
It took us about an hour and a half. It's a four mile paddle and we were paddling casually.
Thanks! I’m planning on going this weekend

Can you swim there?
Is it the first cove on the right?
If you were launching from Cane Hollow Recreation Area it would be on the left, launching from Cookeville Boat Dock it's on the right.
Hi friends, loved your kayaking adventure and the waterfall was beautiful. Such a tranquil spot!
😊👍♥️♥️
Yes it was! Thanks for watching :)
Is that far for you guys or normal? The kayaking and waterfall sounds so fun. Maybe with a drone you could see the upper waterfalls. 😁👍
