I have some offair recordings in 525 NTSC that were recorded from WNED Buffalo 🐃 in the late 1970's. This is the only North American PBS station I have seen.
Anyone know where to find a version of the song that starts at 1:46:17 a new beginning by John tavaner cant find it anywhere and been stuck in my head since I watched this
Fast facts: 1. The Great European Millennium celebrations were the prelude to the Great London Millennium celebration at the Millennium Dome 2. GMA Regional TV Balitang Bisdak anchorman Bobby Nalzaro reported the Great European Millennium celebrations during the Great Paris Millennium celebration on the 2000 Today: The GMA Global Millennium Day Celebration TV Special
The Great European Millennium celebrations were the biggest centerpiece attractions of the 2000 Today: The Great Global Millennium Day Celebration TV Special on the BBC and WGBH Boston, whose celebrations marked the start of the 21st Century. The celebrations were also witnessed by the ARTEAR El Trece Television Network of Argentina (during the El Dia del Milenio TV Special), Television Nacional de Chile and Chilevision of Chile, RCN Televisión of Colombia, Radio Caracas Television and Venevision of Venezuela, Rede Record and Rede Bandeirantes of Brazil, Canal Once TV of Mexico, the Australian Broadcasting Corporation of Australia, RTL Television and ProSieben of Germany, the TVE Networks of Spain, TF1 of France, the RAI Television Networks of Italy, the Munhwa Broadcasting Corporation of South Korea, TV Asahi of Japan, and GMA Network of the Philippines
Michael Parkinson looked totally out of place hosting that show. Should have been someone much younger and funny, witty. Parky just looked like a very old doddery man.
Oh shut up Geoff and Robert, I'm glad Michael Parkinson hosted the BBC's live coverage of 2000 Today. It would've been wrong to get somebody funny as this was a serious live broadcast to see in the new millennium so I'm sorry to say but your points are wrong.
I was conceived when the fireworks were going
Great Memories, 20yrs ago only seems like yesterday.
Scary isn't. When I was little everyone said when you get older the years go quicker. I didn't believe them, however I do now 😳
It can’t seem like it was only yesterday because you can’t remember every single day , week and month since it happened
I watched the Millennium Celebrations on my local PBS station on December 31 1999 brings back wicked memories

Why only up to 2 minutes before midnight ? , I’m in the future now 2022 & so far the new millennium has had its ups and downs
The current millennium didn’t actually begin until 1st January 2001 - just so you know
Lol, no, there wasn’t actually a year zero, which makes your theory nonsense

Double celebration. I hope the twins survived (and made it to their 20s!). I was nearly 15 then, but it still doesn't feel that long ago.
Who were they?
@@visionist7 I can hardly remember who I was talking about, as it's a long time ago I saw this video.

Fully agree, if his chat show had not returned during this time possible he would not have been considered to be so 🤔
@@Robert_Manners I guess the BBC got it wrong.
@@geoffjoffy shall we send a letter of complaint 20 years after the event to see what action is taken 😉
@@Robert_Manners Haha. Could do. :)
