The bizarreness of the ‘Please Don’t Destroy’ sketches is what makes them so great
Take away the over-the-top camerawork and these sketches are less "zany" and more just corny.

There is nothing bizarre here. I'm sorry that's the limit of your imagination. These skits would be thought clunky in a high school review.
There are so many wonderful little details thrown into this, just seconds flashing by - like them looking through their cash stash, the photo of Paul Rudd, just randomly smashing bottles. So much packed in, all while having great use of Zoe and Paul Dano too. Very creative.

Paul Dano is so funny in this! I love how casually he sells the whole joke about him living under the couch. And his delivery of "It's about three guys who suck!" is great in how cheerfully mean it comes off.

Because he kinda looks like Ben. And I wouldn't be surprised if it came out that he was one of the many celebrities who either auditioned for SNL and got rejected or was offered the chance to be on SNL and turned it down for whatever reason. Also, his name sounds like the name of an SNL writer turned cast member.
Seriously though, half the shots he was in I didn't realize it was him... I just thought he was one of the 3 guys 😂😂

These guys are the best recurring characters in years. Snuggle bucket disappearing all the time was both genius and pure stupidity. Zoe fit in so nicely there.🦇🦇

He basically lives in studio 8h, along with Fred Armisen, Alec Baldwin and Kristen Wiig
Or maybe that was done when they did the Please Don't Destroy sketch where the new COVID variant actually makes people's lives better.
He does live in Manhattan and has close friendships with the NBC & SNL people, he's probably just always down to participate when he's home and not off filming elsewhere

Could be their best one yet. It’s insane how these guys had a never ending onslaught of jokes and bits while being confined in just one room. I get the Lonely Island comparisons, but these guys have a very unique and creative style.
what i think is a big part of their style is 90s to early 00s nickelodeon and cartoon network shows. that exact same overexaggeration, wackiness, and earnestness is on display in almost all of please dont destroys content. hell, they even reference spongebob in this one, when John is searching the computer for the cat, its a lot like spongebob's brain looking for his own name.
My favorite one. I love how seamlessly the guests buy in and play along.

I love these sketches, and somehow I feel a little nostalgic when I watch them, they remind me of the type of humor that I enjoyed during my millennial-teenage years: early collegehumor, Portlandia and some webseries. Please don’t get rid of this section.

This is the sketch where I totally fell in love with Please Don't Destroy. It's also the first Please Don't Destroy sketch I have ever seen.
Everytime I see they put a sketch up I think, ok, one of them has to miss, there’s no way these guys are perfect but they are, they really are! Sooooo good!
As a cat owner, I feel this anxiety whenever I haven't seen one of them for most of the day. Especially since the younger of the two is an outdoor cat.

As a Gemini, I have to admit we're a quixotic blend that, at times, ruffles the fur the wrong way. It's in our eyes.... We're cuddly and intriguing, but just beneath our surface, something peaks out that warns others not to pet us. There's a bit too much going on for comfort. We can go from the class clown/class president/prom queen/valedictorian to the serial killer in the blink of an eye and no one would be that surprised.

This felt like a very last minute idea, and it was executed perfectly.
They also got Ben Affleck a man bat, Scarlet Johansson a black widow spider, Andrew Garfield a man spider, Jeremy Renner a hawk’s eye, Benedict Cumberbatch a Strange Doctor, and Dwayne Johnson a new Black best friend named Adam (it was awkward when they kept calling him Black Adam).
these guys are one of the best parts of every episode
Not every episode, because there were some episodes this season that didn't have a PDD sketch: the Owen Wilson episode, the Billie Eilish episode (even though the sketch that got cut was uploaded on TH-cam), the Rami Malek episode (again, uploaded on TH-cam as a cut for time sketch), that Paul Rudd episode that was basically a Christmas clip show episode thanks to Omicron variant COVID, the Will Forte episode (though I can kinda see why, since everyone wanted MacGruber back. But that also was uploaded on TH-cam as a cut for time sketch), and last week's Oscar Isaac episode (which, sadly, had no PDD sketch that was cut for time). I know I'm missing one.
