    Thankyou so much for making the video man. There was next to 0 information on how to fix the thermal fuse on other sites or videos on google and this helped a lot. Even calling Nespresso the robots in the customer support kept saying the problem was an airlock. For me the issue was caused by descaling my machine and I took a jug of the hot poured water (with descaler in it) and loaded it again 2 times in the reservoir as per the instructions, which caused the fuse to blow!! What a crappy design! Instead the instructions should say ensure each cycle of water has cooled (and allow 10 mins or more for the machine to cooloff before refilling reseservoir with descaling solution and water mix so as to not overheat and make the machine unworkable! My machine was also 4 years from purchase so out of warranty and would have cost $100 with the Nespresso service just to fix the fuse! Once again thankyou so much for your video from Australia. Also to note - if people dont have the T20 Torx screwdriver an Allen Hex Key also works, just hold it steady with the other hand and apply pressure :)

    Good man !! I had tried everything, this sorted my problem. I soldered a paperclip in and have ordered a couple of fuses. Happy Christmas from Berlin !!

    Thanks for sharing.... the real problem with this coffee machine is How to disassemble it without breaking it! 1 hour to open it. 3 minutes to warm up the soldier and fix the fuse!! A life to reassemble it!

    Thanks for this. I watched loads of videos showing people blowing down the water feed yet I knew this was not my problem as the pump on my machine was not operational. I've dismantled the machine ( I used another video to help with this - took me half an hour and no damage) to discover that the thermal fuse has blown. I now need to research if it is possible to solder a new thermal fuse in place of the old one. I suspect that the heat from the soldering iron will blow the fuse - so the paper clip method may have to suffice!!!

    This video saved my fancy friend, inissia. Just one paper clip saved my 200 dollars! Of course, i need to buy a new fuse to replace.

    This fixed mine! I definitely cooked my fuse with too many back-to-back runs from descaling it. I bypassed it with a wire. Not sure if I even want to buy a new fuse, the machine is far out of warranty as-is lol

    This didn't end up being my problem but good info nontheless. At least I was able to verify that the fuse was working. I ended up hotwiring the pump through a toggle switch and everything works. I'm not sure what else would be preventing the pump from getting power.

    Patrick- thanks so much for this video, Nespresso want to charge £70.00 to do a repair! Do you know which thermal fuse it will be? Have ordered the torx 20 screwdriver to get the handle off- so I can't get inside yet and would like to order the fuse. Mine is the Inissia but is the Krups one, do you think would be the same?

    • @haitiano1982
      @haitiano1982 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Suggest to disregard the notion that you can break the clips.
      Start taking the top of the “base” where the water tank sits on. Then PRY with a flathead around the “external” of the side shown in this video. The while side will come of (2x).
      Outside shiney first. Then pry again the external for the inner lining.
      It all comes out but not easy and you will mark your machine but thats what it takes. Pry the outer rim along the top middle along the bottom and back. Front will come off without prying. Medium to hard tension required.
