After months of BG content (and honour mode wins) from your channel and seeing Brotato come up on steam I thought I would give this a shot. I now have 10 or so Danger 5 wins and more coming with your help.
Slingshots were the way to go on this one for me, the primitive tag is so, so much better than gun. I just bought all the armor I saw and leaned into the curse.
I couldn’t decide what to do when I played Romantic first, so I picked up Cactus Club for the Primitive (for the HP) and Heavy (to offset the damage penalty). It worked out well, but I should try it again with slingshot.
I find "Burning Passion" Romantic quite good as well. Burning ticks for small damage multiple times, thus giving you a good chance to hit enemies under 25% HP.
16:54 personally I’m not a huge fan of goblet - I would classify it as a ‘win more’ item. You have to kill 7 enemies on average to recover 1hp, and if you’re clearing that effectively then you’re already having a very strong run (i.e. can buy whatever you want). If you’re at all struggling and trying to make efficient purchases then it’s relatively high cost, regen penalty, and clear speed requirement to utilize effectively make it a very inefficient purchase in most circumstances (outside of a case where you’ve exclusively focused on damage and are desperate for healing). I could be wrong though.
it is not inefficient at all. the waves are filled with weak enemies that you can likely one shot. for all of those one hit enemies, it is basically +15% life steal for around 200 materials
@@salivablueberryguts7740 I mean if you have 200% aspd with 6 SMG he is proibably right, common 4% lifesteal would be cheaper and better. Otherwise its debatable, but without any doubt at least that item works every single run coz almost everyone like to kill enemies as fast as possible.
I think it might be most efficient to focus on rushing a cursed weapon to level 4 instead of balancing weapon levels. Like keeping 6 weapons but upgrading the cursed weapon asap. Can you evaluate that? Curse is a multiplier. I’d think we’d want to maximize the weapon levels being effected by that. I haven’t had my laptop since the dlc dropped
I was surprised how easy the romantic was after reading it and thinking it was underwhelming. After i unlocked the flute I did a danger 5 luck run with flutes and it was cake.
Yeah - I think something is odd with material drops (might be a curse interaction). It used to be that enemies have a chance of dropping 0 or their full amount, but I've seen some drop less than the max lately. Not sure if this is an example but it's something that's happened occasionally
I find it funny that you have received many comments about the character-strategy frustrations. I do not have the DLC (but greatly enjoy your playing and explaining) and was under the impression that differing your play style per class was kinda the point of Brotato
@@emerealm3779 Switch. It was a cheap game and I blasted through all of the unlockables in like a week except two so I searched for some videos to help me out and have been watching Ceph , commenting and liking every one of his videos for many months now. I really appreciate good content so I have a tendency to get hooked on certain creators and support them even if I am not currently playing what they are
I fell for the trap of trying to use the Lute because it sounded like it was made for this character and it never worked. Will try with the SMG later today. Hope they add an item with your name on the next DLC. Cheers!
Do you do practice runs in preperation of your guides or do you actually oneshot all of these? Asking because even with my 500ish hours in Brotato, I find some of the new characters really challenging
yo if you start doing GMO3 runs again after the class guides and you want a fun broken one, do Entrepreneur + Farmer + Mutant with Pruner. I think I got to level 76 and 4000 or so harvesting before ending on wave 20!
My first attempt fell for the melee range buff trap, I tried claw and it did not go well. Second run was SMGs, and I got minigun after. I did fall a bit into the trap of not building damage to lean into the charm mechanic, but then I also had so much excess money for HP and attack speed, that I charmed literally everything on the field. The hunting did not work out though
I had a thought last night, would making all red items legendary and all purple items limited change much in the game? and would it work out better that way?
I would like to ask for a 3MO (Hiker/Vagabond/Speedy) in honor of Tara Dower breaking the fastest known time for hiking the Appalachian Trail this year. She's a badass!
Almost done with all characters on the new map. It’s much harder this time around, especially when you build curse and don’t get anything cursed but the enemies.
Personally, I'd like it if you redid the old guides as the abyss is not only a little harder but some characters like the entrepreneur and lucky I think have different starts. Not all character will be different I'm sure but a good bit I think would.
I have. Do thief dagger. Just like Ceph adviced with his guide for normal map :D The only problem is "when do you start to save and how much", that really depends but you probably have to have ~500 mats stashed at wave 10.

This is the way
slingshots are also good here - both great weapons, but because smgs charm more I think they're a little stronger for this character

Good luck!

@@sinner5452also unlike life steal, it has full effectiveness with explosions and engineering builds because it simply proccs on enemy death
Love this character! Always love pet/tamer classes I games so I hope they add more like this someday! :)

The charmed mini boss late in Wave 16 did drop a bunch of materials as expected. So the first one probably just didn't drop any as you suggested.

would you consider ever making a video of coaching a noob to get their first no retries danger 5 clear?

When I did the romantic I was quite easy for me but I was shocked to find out only 0.2% of the player base has beaten the game with romantic

Do the charmed aliens count towards the total cap on the number of entities on the field? Are despawn mechanics notably affected?
They do count toward the max entities in the field. As far as I can tell.
They do - I talk about this a bit in the video; it can be in issue for income if you're charming everything!
@Cephalopocalypse Thanks! I must have missed that, sorry.

You could try doing Harvesting Saver with Sickle.
ik it is probably optimal to play it as a normal smg build but i like to literally have every enemy be charmed by wave 10 with like 100 max hp xdd
