The key is. Lose as much as you can. Gotta find a way to add a stud. Through the draft. And trade away what you can to get assets. Young players. Picks. Take in money to get picks. You’re not going to be good for at least this year and next.
RJB being a 6th man is not far fetched. He needs to improve his Defence and become a 3 level scorer to become a top 3 option on any team. For those who are saying that he is still 23…. He has been in the league 6 years and has not shown any big time improvements. IMO RJB has until the end of next season to show and prove.
Siakam trade is looking a little lacklustre at this point. Was bad at the time, not being able to get one of Indy’s young guys (Walker, Nembhard, Mathurin)…but it will hinge on where that 2026 Indy 1st falls, ultimately.
Brown is the same issue that we had when we traded Kyle for Goran Dragić and that too became a mess. As much as the Raptors are good at fleecing teams, they need to stop trading for pieces that they "think" they can flip in the future when in reality they're already dead weight upon arrival.
The mistake of human is, thinking existence is linear, that following the rules set, the Raps can get a high pick and win. This is why "analytics" are seen as genius - because what humans don't add into the equation, is (possibilities) which are infinite. Ergo, a true understanding cannot be linear, nor understood through numbers. Only to realize this, after the fact. Keep wishing for losing, and even though the "paper" looks like a winner, doesn't mean the games play out that way.
2 trades between Lakers and Raps. I will let others decide any picks we get. No way we send 2nds but not sure if we can get 1st or a few 2nds back. Raps to LAL. BB+ Davion M + Bruno F = Rui H + Gabe V + Jalen H-S. Lakers get 3 players in positions of need and off some money. We get a bigger wing but still Def issue we give JH-S some run to see what he is if anything? Raps to LAL. BB+ DM+ BF + CB = Rui H + Jalen H-S + D’Angelo R + Christian W. Again Lakers get 4 players that help and off money and get rid of players they don’t like for playoffs except Rui
Mitchell could get a 2nd, Brown may be worth more as an expiring contract and maybe take back on potential (or two?) future fits, Jak stays, Boucher is probably worth a 2nd? Taking Brown in the 1st place was a terrible move. Hey and the RJ stats you're pulling do not reflect the player, he's trying to do it all as one of the only healthy starters at the end of close games and it shows that it's too much to ask. RJ stays 100% and is a corner stone.
Raps don't NEED to trade Jax - there is no rush this season. Unless the deal is sweet. Raps have a chance to load up on low firsts, high seconds, or guys like O'j'A, who have been recently drafted, and are dying on their current team

Quickly was injured a lot last season. And before he even got the Raptors. Quicker we can unload his contract the better.
IQ played 78, 81, and 68 games the past 3 seasons. I think you're early to be calling to pull the trigger on this one due to injury concerns.
@@pgauleygale Ya that's brutal numbers. How much longer would you wait ?
Ummm…. He played 92% of games those years which is pretty decent not “brutal”. Let’s hope he come back as healthy as he has been most of his career.
@@pgauleygale at this age he shouldn't be missing any games
I reckon they need to trade Jak if the offer is too good to pass up (especially to make up on the lost trade value we now have with Brown)
Delusional

People forget that despite RJ being in the league for 6 years already, he's just 24 years old....he hasnt even hit his prime yet...
Not sure how Bruce Brown is going to fetch on the market at this point.
Raps need to move what ever they can.
with you man, showcase these guys before the deadline and hope to get anything in return
@ trade your boy Wes too
I’ve lost all faith in the faith and interest in the raptors.
