I love sitting in the box taking balls, be a 3-2 count or even 2-0 count. You KNOW they getting ready to touch that zone and once they do, it's GRAAAND SALAMI TIME!!!!

I am a 74 year old baseball fan, specifically for the Royals. Since MLB the Show has come out, I “religiously” buy each year and with the Show 24, I am very frustrated. My needs are simple. I just want to load up the current day roster and play with the pitching and hitting mens shwoing up for my controller. However when I do that I am in simulation mode and no matter what settings I access I cannot get the menu for pitchers and batter to appear. Am I just old and out of touch? I don’t want to play the last 3 innings of the “road to the Show”! What am I doing wrong? Is my controller in need of replacing? I have the Playstation 4 version. Thanks for your help.
I usually only play Diamond dynasty but can you explain your issue, I’m confused on exactly what your trying to do.

Also you mentioned strike zone camera. I have tried that a lot and struggle to get to the outside/inside in time and swing at balls more. The Catcher camera feels like it gives me more time to react. Thoughts?

Do you do better with no PCI indicator in the middle? How can you tell if you are on the ball. I use diamonds and seem to help me the most but was curious.
The perfect way is just practice play the game more put more hrs into it. Even if you lose most of your games get use to all the pitches you can and try and make them throw it where you like to hit

I'm play road to the show, and in my 2nd season in the major league I hit 133 home runs. The game has made it much harder on me since. I think I pissed off the algorithm lol 😂
I suck but I have to use timing I can't use zone
Why zone hitting though? I hit @ least 4 hr a game as a directional hitter and i play on hof...just curious..no one can hit every pitch or not strike out ..adjusting sliders don't count.
My issue is I'm too slow at moving the PCI so i get either weak contact or miss entirely lol
I spent years thinking I suck at this game, until I realised my 10 year old TV has like half a second input delay. Just ordered a gaming monitor, and the difference was mind-blowing
Rookie question here. Can you still get the same hitting ability using timing mode? Also, with 3 buttons for hitting, why do you say you only use normal buttton? I was always using power button haha
power button makes your pci( chance to hit the ball cleanly) smaller, normal swinging inceeasins pci and gives a better chance to get good contact
Power hitting won’t work on higher difficulty, if your on lower difficulty power can work.

Man, I feel that kind of pitch are so soft in comparison with the pith I received, actually, is very hard to me hit a fast ball at 95 mph. Crazy. 😕

Because either you have the hand eye coordination or you do not really.
i say in the vid to go to practice. theres nothing to tell you besides practice..alot
You can can a general idea of the time to swing using the hitters leg kick or toe tap. A zero response time monitor def helps too.

I think my issue (as someone completely new this is my first MLB ) is reading pitches
Always look at the pitcher and not exactly at the ball. That usually helps
