I had my damage record 12.8k with this tank back in the 850 alpha days which also netted me bunch of gold from a Jingles contest. I still found the old 263 more fun to play though since it was more mobile. WG removing the 263 from TX was actually one of the main reasons I stopped playing alongside them constantly removing weakspots from tanks to encourage premium ammo usage.

Yep, sadly even the T-10 tanks and normal ammo is barely enough these days to pen another tank, especially the OP ones. WG trying to force people to use more premium ammo is just silly. They make plenty of money off this game without having to resort to these tactics.

As long as you are in a comparable tank or something much scarier. I loved this thing when I unlocked it I still play it from time to time. Recently I unlocked the Jadg E100, having a blast in that. I ran into a 268 out of position and ended up getting a ammo rack kill which left me in a state of whoa hahaha.

if we're being fair to the russians, these days it's not really even russian bias anymore, it's "whatever the latest stuff is will powercreep the rest of the game" bias.
Wargaming even provided russia-speaking beautiful wife for Quicky, of course he is biased, c'mon!
7:04 i thought the bizzare thing was QB was able to run ax the map and not get shot at, then i realized that the genius read of the game of QB realizing that his 268 has been hoarding all the HP. Excellent awareness and reaction QB!
I play my 268 often, probably play it more then any of my other tier 10 tanks other then my FV4005, and more recently, the ST-II. I think it is still a really good tank, and really nice at punishing the most armoured of tanks with those HEAT rounds, like overly cocky 268 v4's for example
For me the 268 V4 never was a problem with my 268, even the 279E can be shredded tto pieces by the 395 HEAT pen of this thing. I reload in 12 seconds for 750 alpha because I have bond equipment on it. It's a very consistent td but not many players know how to play with it.

@@barzillaiconcorde685 I have had the Fv4005 since it first was available in 0.9.5. Unlike most people, I know how to play my FV4005 and take any advantage I can get. With a good crew and proper loadout, you can do a lot with it. For example, if you search a video jingles did a few years ago called Driveby, that FV4005 in the second half of the video is me, obliterating tanks left and right and ending with a lot of damage dealt. Hell, on my channel I have the same replay recorded, though I had a much shitter PC at the time so the quality and FPS is rather poor compared to his replay.
i find that the 303mm is more than enough to pen a v4...if i AIM...only morons lob gold at a tank they dont know how to pen...the 246mm german shells can pen a v4...why the hell you need 395mm...if the v4 angles away having more pen wont help if you A) cant hit and B) the angle is too steep...this is the problem with WoT and the gold rounds...its not a case of even needing more pen...its the case of actually hitting the place you wanted to...the amount of times ive been in something like a 50 b and someone bounced and switched to gold cuz they hit an extreme angle...you dont need gold to pen a 50 b...just aim the shot and you will pen...then pray that rng allows the shell to hit where you aimed

Original BOOMStick was always Object 704. I wanted that tank ever since I first saw it, rushing hill on Mines, almost getting deleted in my poor little tier 7 medium tank. It is only WoT inspired plastic model kit I have bought. Just love it.

Love my obj 268, play it like an assault gun the instant you spot a gap in the enemy teams line and you can do a lot of work with it. I like to think of it like a casemate medium with a big gun.
From your position, you can actually shoot down the tree from your left towards you by shooting its left side with HE for extra concealment.
Love your videos man keep it up and I play on ps4 so it is very different play styles but I do really like the way you either talk about plays or even just play

I have not gotten this yet but I have the SU-122-44 and I do very well playing it like you played this in this game. I need to get a 268.
I was able to play during that time the 155mm guns had 850 alpha. The foch always clapped my is-8 and is-7 that's for sure.
And my favorite tanks back then were SU-122-44 and Type 64.
To put into perspective, the KV-2 not too long ago has 960 average damage on its 152mm derp gun.. ON TIER 6!
Hey Qb, at H1 u can knock down a tree that is out of the map and it will help with camo

Man I fucking loved the 263 I wish it hadn't got replaced. I missed rushing in and putting that dpm to wooooork. Even tho it was long as hell and couldn't turn to save its life. It got shit done. And don't get me started on the su-122-54. It was my favorite tier 9 TD. It's Low profile and gun made it a bigger version of the e25

The OG boom stick for me was the T82. Back when it came out it was a TD and I think it had a 155 howitzer? It was a really fast TD with no armor so my friends and I called it the Derp Jeep. We'd just run up on people and press the delete key on them. Good times.
My first tier 10 TD and was considered ok in Clan Wars right back in the earliest days. Probably because there weren’t many options. Hits hard though and decent camo

Console still has 850 alpha. And I love it. And the 2100 health points is nice too

I will always love my KV too and then my buddy bonds the Warhammer version so now I have a premium KV too that I can fight I don't care what tear tank I will shoot anything
The only thing makes us remember this tank is it's core vehicle in this battle pass

I actually just researched this tank and meant to buy it today. One of the easiest grinds I’ve ever had in WoT. I now have about 5 or 6 tier 10s researched and waiting to be purchased.
Object 704 was THE nasty TD when I lsat played WoT.

I've had this vehicle in my garage for quite a long time but never played it. Lately I decided to try it out. And I must say I absolutely hate it. The game calls it an assult TD but I find that at close and medium range just about everything just goes through the upper armour, even without premium ammo and even when hiding weak spots and using (the frankly pitiful) gun depression. And playing like a sniper isn't exactly fun either with a main gun that misses about as often as a T92 and around 20 sec wait time for the next attempt.
Sure you got the right tank bud? 268 V4 is the Assault TD, normal 268 is a Versatile TD. On top of that, normal 268 with 100% crew only is still pushing 16 second reload on a 152
I felt for that 60tp I’ve never been ammo racked in my 60tp So gg brother
In my opinion, the 60TP is a walking ammo rack, managed to ammo rack 60TPs several times (like 5 times) per week, with daily 15-20 battles. I'm close to researching it, but yeah... im a bit afraid.. managed to ammo rack it by on hit with a TVP, or SU-130PM HEAT one hit from the front... strangely weak ammo rack IMO.

WZ 113G FT also has 395 premium pen and 290 standard yet it’s a rare tank at TX
I thought during the old days, if i remember correctly, the 268 had 430-450 heat round pen .
Monster TD + Prokorovka map + high tier game = Bliss
So many TD players forget they have a W key. Would rather camp and lose than move and try and win.

I didn’t know it had that much penetration back then wow I would’ve loved that. Ive had it unlocked for awhile and haven’t bought it. I probably have 7 t10’s unlocked i think i will buy the s conqueror or Kranvagn next or vz 55. I thought about getting the jag e100 next just because I’ve had so much fun in the common test with it. I also was debating on getting 121b with bonds or wait for next ranked and try to get 1b.

The 268 is a really good TD. The 268 v4 did not work like a TD at all.
Actually the 268 is one of the few real TDs in tier x.
Good accuracy excelent penetration with HEAT good cammo. Play it with a td in platoon and it will work really well
My favourite tank. Give it turbo, remove speed limiter, brother in arms and THAT is assault tank!

This one deserves 850 alpha. (or default apcr like 704's gold round minus some mm of penetration at 1050m/s instead of 1100m/s)
The problem with 268 is it sucks against goldspam(upper hull a bit better than IS-8 but it only barely is able to bounce ~250mm pen rounds somewhat reliably, plus flat areas next to gun), has rangefinder weakspot, and is generally worse than 704(which has nominally worse armor but doesn't have the weakspot on top, the mantlet is huge as is the spaced armor of is-3 covering more of the frontal profile; the better depression and firing arc also helps). IIRC 268 also has worse camo than 704; so besides the dpm(penetration on HEAT is nice but APCR velocity can be very useful) and mobility, it feels like mostly a downgrade.
I've done 60TP Ammo Rack in common test server
Got a cool 33% win rate in my 268. Less than a hundred game but still. I haven’t been able to replicate my obj 704 play in it for some reason beyond my comprehension.
Nah original boom sticks, KV-2, oils school T34 Heavy, and the ISU with the BL10, all those before the 268

This thing recently got buffed like crazy. Has 2100HP, 850 alpha, 390m view range, and mine reloads in 11.9 seconds and 11° gun arc. Easiest 3 mark I've ever done, so broken😂

The T011E4 with Bonds improve aiming, Bonds optics, and Bonds Gun rammer. That tank is a destroyer, even thought it only does 750. I recently get an average of 835 dmg per shot, I don't know if that is luck or skill but I love how it roles that high most of the time. I do have to say that the this Russian tank is the Original Boom-stick. Quickybaby, can you do a showcase on the T011E4 please, I don't know if you did that tank yet.

I dont understand why they nerfed the gun from the 155mm guns. On console the 268,E4,E3 and the Wz 111 gft has 850alpha, it literally makes the tank very special. Wg on console knows how to make the tanks special!

Qb thanks my first tier 10 tank ever back in 2013 I guess. It used to be so good and I loved it. Now everyone is asking why don't I have obj 268 4. Well it wasn't in the game when I played line of soviet tds. And I didnt feel like to grind it again for 268 4. Still competitive and lovely vehicle. Ps love the style. Wanted to gey it back this year but I was stingy to do so this time...

How do you get the bushes to disappear in sniper mode? In my game they are either solid or progressively more transparent which makes it difficult to see through. Whatever you have setup graphically is clearly superior
There is an option within the Graphics Details page roughly halfway down that off the top of my head is one of the options called Foliage Transparency.
