Thank you for this video! Followed it closely and now my GH4 works like charm! After removing the body screws be careful to separate the actual case half from the other. I accidentaly started separating the rubber cover from the case half.

Hi, I have a GX1 with a power issue, it seems the ram chip might have a cracked solder joint because I can't get it to turn on with any pressure on it (such as when the case is attached), is there anything else that could cause this before trying to reflow it?
I can at least confirm that I'm getting power from the top board to the ribbon cable and if I'm gentle with it, I can sort of get it to stay on, which tells me there probably isn't anything wrong with the power section.

But how did you know it would be the ribbon that needed replacement and not the LCD display control main circuit board?

You can check the ribbon cable for tears. Just opened mine and there was a small tear. It seems to be somewhat of a design flaw with how common it seems to be.
