I am seriously impressed by how this little beast of a machine handles so many of these games so well. And it's nice to just see a glass clear POV to see it exactly how it would look when playing it yourself. Other than the typical colour artifacts when filming with a camera.

it's probably not going to change, the steam deck is already at 99% gpu usage the whole time the game is running and it can barely get 30 with it dipping into 20s
It is amazing that it is an option. I played plenty of refantazio with 30 fps on my SD (since is is an turn-based RPG), but since I have more options, I personally have no interest in playing most of it. Wukong has like... 4 full pixels rendered on the screen? And glad to know that PoE II would require such an aggressive FSR upscaling, I guess that is how astigmatism fells like.

Is it just my unit or when on any black scene whether in the game or just outside the game on gaming mode, there are some dimmed lights, like some stars in the night sky? But in desktop mode this doesnt happen.

Hi, could you try GTA V? The campaign mode used to run at 90 fps, but now it's hard to maintain 60 fps without V Sync, and with half V Sync there's a glitch that won't let you go over 47 fps. 😢
@@Manuel66880 I'm pretty sure he uses a frame gen mod in like every game because the fps can vary wildly from like 60 to 90 to 47 to 82 in just a couple seconds. It can make a game feel smoother but I don't like it cuz it can add latency

Without you scoring/informing how well they perform every time you make one of these in comparison to the last time, it really just feels like you're doing the same thing over again and nothings changed and I know thats not the case for some. Some information would be super appreciated, at least a rating system of the sort that makes these style of videos stand out from one another. I think its really cool what you're doing though!
I disagree. He has made and continues to make several videos on these games as they are updated and optimized. I think this is just a good synopsis for anyone who is looking at what to expect from a game who may be wanting to get a steam deck. Like with Indiana Jones, he has a full video about that game with different settings. However you slice it though, this is about the fidelity you should expect of that game at that FPS right now. You can tweak it and get more quality and less FPS, but, this is about what you can expect regardless of some min/maxing.
@@MEDiumIncI do agree with what you’re saying, but I also do think with these types of videos a summary chart of average FPS maybe would be a nice unbiased way to show the average performance of what was shown. Not everybody is going to sit through each demonstration and examine the FPS especially when it’s an off screen gameplay video
@@patricktimoney3627 Plenty of channels already showing you bar graphs of games at different settings with different FPS. I like this because I can see, and get a sense of what it means for each game. Like to me, its more important that a JRPG has good fidelity and visual quality. 30 FPS for that would be fine? But for a title like Hell Divers 2 or COD? I am going to want more FPS, and crank everything down to the minimum. It is nice to see a visualization of what I am going to get. I can look at a bar graph all day long as be like " Oh yeah, HD2 runs at 40FPS on low settings" but Maybe low settings looks so bad for HD2 it actually interferes with game play. I wouldn't know that until I see a video like this.

it's probably not going to change, the steam deck is already at 99% gpu usage the whole time the game is running and it can barely get 30 with it dipping into 20s

It is amazing that it is an option. I played plenty of refantazio with 30 fps on my SD (since is is an turn-based RPG), but since I have more options, I personally have no interest in playing most of it. Wukong has like... 4 full pixels rendered on the screen? And glad to know that PoE II would require such an aggressive FSR upscaling, I guess that is how astigmatism fells like.

Hello. Please can you tell me if all the games can be installed on a micro sd card on the steam deck? I want to get the 256gb version to play COD 2019 and upwards.
I know it must be dual boot, but wanted to find out if everything can be played from the micro sd card. Thanks.
you just change the installer location in steam settings to the sd card im guessing

If you absolutely must use a Micro SD for storing games, then I recommend formatting it to NTFS and installing the games to there

Is it just my unit or when on any black scene whether in the game or just outside the game on gaming mode, there are some dimmed lights, like some stars in the night sky? But in desktop mode this doesnt happen.

Hi, could you try GTA V? The campaign mode used to run at 90 fps, but now it's hard to maintain 60 fps without V Sync, and with half V Sync there's a glitch that won't let you go over 47 fps. 😢

Fallen Order runs well? When I downloaded it, it contantly drops to 20fps
In Legion Go dedicating 8GB VRam it's on 30fps with crashing a lot. I don't get how could even work on SD
@@Manuel66880 I'm pretty sure he uses a frame gen mod in like every game because the fps can vary wildly from like 60 to 90 to 47 to 82 in just a couple seconds. It can make a game feel smoother but I don't like it cuz it can add latency

A mixture of both, the White and Black models are OLED.
The White, more bulkier looking one is LCD with a White Skin applied.

Without you scoring/informing how well they perform every time you make one of these in comparison to the last time, it really just feels like you're doing the same thing over again and nothings changed and I know thats not the case for some. Some information would be super appreciated, at least a rating system of the sort that makes these style of videos stand out from one another. I think its really cool what you're doing though!
I disagree. He has made and continues to make several videos on these games as they are updated and optimized. I think this is just a good synopsis for anyone who is looking at what to expect from a game who may be wanting to get a steam deck.
Like with Indiana Jones, he has a full video about that game with different settings. However you slice it though, this is about the fidelity you should expect of that game at that FPS right now. You can tweak it and get more quality and less FPS, but, this is about what you can expect regardless of some min/maxing.
@@MEDiumIncI do agree with what you’re saying, but I also do think with these types of videos a summary chart of average FPS maybe would be a nice unbiased way to show the average performance of what was shown.
Not everybody is going to sit through each demonstration and examine the FPS especially when it’s an off screen gameplay video

@@patricktimoney3627 Plenty of channels already showing you bar graphs of games at different settings with different FPS.
I like this because I can see, and get a sense of what it means for each game. Like to me, its more important that a JRPG has good fidelity and visual quality. 30 FPS for that would be fine? But for a title like Hell Divers 2 or COD? I am going to want more FPS, and crank everything down to the minimum.
It is nice to see a visualization of what I am going to get. I can look at a bar graph all day long as be like " Oh yeah, HD2 runs at 40FPS on low settings" but Maybe low settings looks so bad for HD2 it actually interferes with game play. I wouldn't know that until I see a video like this.
