Love the concept of healthy living aboard. The pumpkin pie looked delicious and we can't wait for future recipes. Enjoy your voyage!

We will definitely include that in a future video - but in the meantime you can learn more about us on our website www.svhakluyt.com and go to the "The Crew" page! Cheers!

You were not alone on exploits I am the only permanent year round resident , I'm on the opposite island from the government wharf in the purple house. Good luck with your adventure.. This is my 5th winter here ..

Ha! We heard you "might" be there (several Lewisporte folks told us a rumor about you) and we looked for you while we were there without any luck... But we didn't try too hard as we admire and respect your indefatigable pursuit of winter solitude in such a beautiful place!! We are jealous of your adventures there having the whole place to yourself!! Cheers Exploits Guy!!!

@@hakluytsadventures I was in to lewisport for supplies the day you were here I was wondering who was sailing that time of year when I passed by your Beautiful boat just wondered what the huge rools of reason the back are for I'm not a sailer so that may b a silly question

Thanks! We tell people it's for water skiing with the new electric motors... ;-) Or long line fishing... ;-) But really they are used for tying up to shore if need be when anchoring - or staying in somewhat precarious locations where dropping the anchor is not a good option. You can google Skip Novak shore tying - he seems to have perfected the technique down in South America / Antarctica - to get a better idea of what I mean. Each spools has 110m of floating polypro line.

Interested to see how you get on with the electric engines! My 1979 diesel is still humming along, but once it reaches it's end of life, will most certainly replace with electric.

Electric motors have a steep - but VERY rewarding learning curve! We wish you luck in the change over!

We have an electric powered boat, nothing like yours. Ours is a little 25ft MacGregor with a small electric motor and one lithium battery. We are in the process of buying a liveaboard boat within the next 9months and will be transitioning it to electric. I would love to see how you made that transition with your boat. Love the channel. Keep it up. 😀

      Thanks!! :-)
Thats fantastic news you guys! A single lithium batter- WOW!!!!! Ha! You will definitely be successful with the next step up!! We wish you the best of luck with the live aboard purchase!!! We will be posting a video in the "not too distant" future of the refit and what it took to transition to twin servo-props!

What an adventure! Have visited Newfoundland & Labrador by land, but hoping one day to also travel further up Canada's North. Won't do it on my small Catalina Capri 26 sailboat though 😛 In the meantime, following your sailing adventures. Fair winds!

Thanks! Keep your dream alive! Make it happen!! There are SO many places you could experience even in Notre Dame Bay and possibly up to St Anthony even in a Capri 26! In summer that is ;-). !

What a great project! Please, keep in mind that not everybody is a native speaker. So, if you spoke slowly and distinctively, that would ease the understanding. Thank you very much.

. . . and level match voice with music, the music is too loud in comparison to the voice. Sound design snippets are also a bit over cooked. Muchos gracias!!
