It took awhile to track them down - but I replaced the weatherseal on the drivers door, the clips for the rear windows, and removed the front bug guard, and I replaced the door hinge pins on the drivers side front door. That eliminated 99% of the wind noise. If you don't happen to close the rear hatch doors properly - those can the wind noise to come back - so be on the lookout for that as well.
+bonecrrusherSS - I've already applied Dynamat to the doors (both the outer skin & inside panels) and to the firewall of my truck. That helped a Lot with the overall road noise. But like you, after doing that, I've noticed the Wind Noise is the Main Culprit that I need to tackle now. It sounds like the windows just aren't sealing properly.
I've got an 2500hd lbz crew cab. Driver Door flung open real hard and i think bent door pin. About to give it a shot I guess att replacing the pin and brackets
0:12...duramax Diesel Horsepower: 310 hp @ 3,000 rpm Towing capacity: 10,100 lbs Engine: 6.6 L V8 diesel Curb weight: 5,561 lbs Transmission: 5-speed automatic Payload: 3,639 lbs Dimensions: 228-247″ L x 80″ W x 76″ Might as well have kept going I mean you where half way there 😂😂😂
A guy I know had 1,010,900 miles on the same model Duramax you have on the Original Motor & Transmission all stock. He bought in new. Those miles was when I talked to him 3 years ago. He had to go to the Dealer and pay for a new mile cluster with a Certified GM sticker on the door jab saying it was changed. He went 800,000 Miles on the front stock brake pads!
Thanks for the video, appreciate you taking the time to do create the video and post. I am going to try the pins before the "bend the door" solution out there... What head unit did you put in? Can you let me know, was it a plug and play replacement, do you like it? Thanks again.
I'm in a '03 Silverado ext. cab - Same Annoying Issue - Time to Fix this shit ONCE & FOR ALL.

It’s not the bug gard it’s the door gasket getting flat stuff the hollow of the gasket with 1/4 stirofome round to rehydrate gasket to normal size
Replaced both - now the rear window makes noises - and I replaced those latches too.

Wow, looks so green everywhere. Looks like another world compared to Southern CA! Where is that? IL?
Nope this is in North Carolina.
My moms driveway is at the white fence on the left at the beginning of this video.

I have a 2004 3/4 ton duramax shortbed, I also have to clench up for railroad tracks. They are the worst riding things I have been in since the 70s.

Umm.

Replaced both - now the rear window makes noises - and I replaced those latches too.
So... you fixed nothing
You can clearly hear a reduction in noise. Thanks for commenting and supporting the channel.
