Man, we're sorry to here that you are having to stop the unboxing episodes! My son and I really looked forward to seeing the "hand made authentic homemade" items that people would send you. We even thought about sending you some of our very own Maple Syrup made from our own Mid Michigan U.S.A. Maple trees. Not that we are looking for anyone to buy our syrup from us because only a very select few other than family ever get any syrup. Maybe we still will. Thanks for your channel and how it inspires my son, I love seeing him out in the outdoors instead of in front of a game console all day! We love catching a TA Outdoors or a TA Fishing at the end of the day! Thanks again!
Not an exciting video? Whenever you two are together there isn't a time in the video you don't have me in stitches. You guys are a class act. Thanks for the laughter and great vids.
I agree with many of the others, the best part of the whole series (I think I watched them all) is the great father son relationship and making something together without judgment and I love the camaraderie. I don't have kids but if I did, this is something that I would have liked to with them. I'm glad the you folks have the private land to do it on.
I wonder how many blokes are now secretly tricking out their garden sheds like this :) Really entertaining, interesting and inspiring stuff. Love it. Years ago I had an allotment with a shed. We weren't allowed to use hose pipes, so I put a clear plastic roof on it with a hand soldered solar panel underneath (You can buy cheap single cells but you have to wire them together). The water fed into a recycled 1000l water container. The solar panel charged a battery, which powered a caravan shower pump attached to a hose pipe. No rules broken, happy days :)
It's so sad that companies take advantage!! Good luck with all of your future endeavors! Made my heart smile to see your father again, love the father and son videos, hope it's an inspiration for all male or female viewers!!! Love your channel!!!
Honesty is the best policy! We totally understand. "Be silly. Be Kind. Be Honest." - Emerson I think you and your father have achieved that lofty goal.
Nice father and son video. I have been enjoying Graeme's boat outings, especially the overnighter afloat. As an aside, I appreciate your shout out for AM Bushcraft. I have subscribed to Andy's channel from the beginning and he is always appreciative of any comments and support. Thank you.
Hello from Virginia 🎯🖤☺ I just love the outdoors 🏹 I'm a simple country girl and just came across this while I was getting ready to go to work. I must say that I absolutely adore yall 🖤
Mike, I so enjoy watching the videos of you and your Dad's adventures. It reminds me of the spending time with my own father in the outdoors hunting and fishing or just doing projects around the house. Keep up the great work and more importantly enjoying your time together with your Dad.
I'm surprised there so many of us from the ky and southern Ohio, I'm in northern Kentucky and was quite surprised to see a guy at work wearing TA merch
Love these videos of you 2. The connection you 2 have as father and son is inspiring. Stay strong, stay connected and stay safe. Cant wait for the next video!
TA Outdoors I've watched the pallet wood cabin videos and it made me think of all that I lost not learning from my dad, his upbringing and being a US MARINE and him being a Vietnam veteran and that we were never close really makes me happy that you and your dad seem so close, your dad's antics crack me up and make me wish that my dad was like that with me whenever we did something together, cherish those times
Great video guys; totally reasonable explanation. Good to hear you want to use and value the stuff you already have and not just accumulate more and more. Shows good character.
You guys are the best. You motivate me to one day leave New York City and get out to the country. Btw, everywhere I go now, I spot pallets. And I immediately think of how I could one day build something with the wood. Be safe guys. And keep up the good work!
It's completely understandable why this is the last unboxing video. Those corporations are unbelievable. Cant wait until the next video. Thanks for sharing Mike.
Bless the pair of you.I watched everything you put out on both channels and have got seriously into bushcraft and got the old buzz back for fishig. Your a pair of legends.Big ups
I really do enjoy watching the videos of you and your dad together. Great stuff. I too try to do as much as possible with grown sons as well up here in Alaska. Take care and keep on ...
Such a shame that big companies have to ruin the party. I completely understand your decision and they should feel ashamed for messing it up for the true fans. Maybe you could carry on, just off camera. That may deter the bigger companies knowing they aren’t going to get a shout on your channel. Keep up the good work mike and I’m loving your films at the moment Graeme. Basically free cinema once a week. I absolutely love both your channels. Cheers fellas
I still have one of those pump action screwdrivers, this was well before battery powered screwdrivers were around and I got it when I was training as a carpenter, it's also called a 'Yankee' screwdriver'. Camp coffee has been around for a very long time and I think it's made in England. We used to have it over 60 years ago when my dad was in the army abroad and couldn't get proper coffee, and we used tinned condensed milk too. I watch both of your channels, so thanks for sharing.
Nice video Mike. Your Dad is hilarious as usual and that's what I like when you two are together. Loved the Slingshot, wish I can have one of those.haha.
I understand, but I think a huge part of your channel is the interactions with people, and losing that is pretty sad. Just don’t accept anything over a certain value without prior communication. Not hard to do, and will enable you to keep the content laid back. I think this segment is critical to the TA ethos of sharing & caring. Keep up the work Mike!
Thanks guys, your videos have inspired me to make some changes and spend time with my son on bushcraft teaching him important survival skills so thanks guys your very inspirational!
Sadly there will always be abuse of an honest and sincere set up. But glad to hear when you get over the busy periods, you'll both entertain us. Top Toppers.
That cord that you had after that cool knife is something like a thing that I believe they call an everlasting match. Something akin to what fusiliers would carry when they used matchlock rifles back in the day.
You could find an adapter for the drill, that will allow you to put a socket on the end, like a hex nut driver,. Then for your spindle, carve one end to fit as snuggley into the socket driver as possible, then there you go..you have your spindle..pump the drill to spin it and make your friction for the ember. A little creative thinking, and we can figure any problem out! I just love your videos..both yours and your dads, but specifically the ones you do together. My dad is no longer with me so trust me..build those memories while you still can. I understand the customs thing..totally understandable, Although I'll miss them, I wont hold it against you. Thanks for the hours of enjoyment you have given me, and for the inspiration to get out into nature more often. I think I have an old hand drill like that somewhere..maybe I'll give it a try myself just for fun. Although I have made and used bow drills before, I'm an old fart now, so I usually just use either a ferro rod, or the old trusty Bic lighter nowadays :)
Absolutely love your shelter, and I've enjoyed watching the whole series. One comment: If you ever do another build, you should try to stagger the joints in the siding. I see you have two studs at each joint - one to support each section of the siding. If you spread those apart evenly along the wall you can get a proper stagger on the siding just like a regular house. I bet that cabin would easily last 20 years if you can keep the weather out! Right now you have a vulnerable "channel" at each of those spots
I love all the videos between you and your dad you have inspired my partner to get out into the wild and also to start fishing keep making great videos
I think the better option is to not accept gifts, letters and postcards only anything bigger / customs charges just send back. That way people can still share heart felt letters and have three postcards / pictures on your wall still
This had me in stitches. love the channel id love too see a bare bones survival. i recently spent 2 weeks with just my knife a change of clothes and a water source. foraged my food and made basic shelter.
Some great gifts for you both there 😁 I enjoyed the video 🙂 though it was just the two of you talking 👍 I'd planned on sending you something very soon, I've just been getting & buying camping gear (my silky pocket boy turned up today 😁) I love both of your channels (I am seriously hooked) I'm driving my wife mad 🤣 you have changed my life for the better & I really just want to do what you two do (she has stopped me from buying a boat) 😢 but hey, ho. Please keep up the great work my friends
Thanks Andrew, glad you are enjoying the videos on both here and TAFishing. We have had a lot of people wanted to buy one man boats after watching Dad's fishing videos!
Andrew Linde Your wife has stopped you buying a boat for now because you respect her thoughts and views....but it’s your duty to convince her of all the quality days out and memories you could no would share.I think it would bring you closer as a family unit,we’ll that’s what I’d say.Good luck Andrew.
Sorry to hear that it'll be the last unboxing video guys, I think the unboxing series is one of the best parts of your channel... I've a lot of laughs seeing you hanging out with your dad, it makes me miss mine so much. It just gives some other aspect to your channel, just sit down, drink a cup of coffee and talk/unbox/review items. I hope in the future you'll be back to it. Thanks for sharing, you're the best!
Awesome guys. Shame about the PO box but I fully understand your position. I always check my phone every few days to get a great video from you Mike. Even watched a few of the older ones when I was wild camping in Donegal last week while having a cheeky beer of course lol. Keep up the great work. 👍👍
This is in response to the guy from Eastern Kentucky wanting to know about safety equipment. All you really need is a good current year map and an in-depth first aid kit. I find a map to be more useful because there are some areas, depending on how far into the backwoods you get, you can lose signal on your gps.
Getting hooked on your videos, Mike. Even went to the liquor store the other day, and bought a sixer of Innis & Gunn; just to try it. Cheers from Canada.
Hi Mike if the screwdriver doesn’t have any bits with don’t worry just pick up a round shank screwdriver that has a hexi bit holder at the end cut it off near the handle so it has plenty of shank left look down the barrel of the Yankee it has a step at the bottom which is easily sorted and there is a spring loaded v halfway down you fix both with hack saw and a saw file and with your injunity you’ll have it sorted in no time I did this years ago and you’ll be surprised what will fit it hope this helps J
Mike - that Camp coffee used to be in a square bottle, about the same height as soy sauce. My mum used to use it when I was a kid (back in the mid to late 1950s). I've been a tea drinker all my life - probably because of camp coffee coz it tasted naff (from what I remember). You'll probably like it coz you're a mega coffee drinker. Sad to hear unboxing is causing problems and that you have to stop them but I completely understand. I still love your channel and will look forward to all your other adventures!
Well, I'm bummed. I sent you a package last march with thumb tacks and a post card from TEXAS and some other goodies in it only to have it returned to me in May. I have not resent it and now I've missed my chance. Oh well. Keep making your great vids. I do enjoy them very much. Thanks for sharing and God Bless!!
Finally. I love these pallet wood cabin videos. Keep them coming. But, when are you going to plant some vegetables in that cute little greenhouse you built?
Hi guys started using the Yankee screwdriver 60 yrs ago and it’s still going strong and with a bit of adaptation you can fit drill bits etc they are worth their weight in gold and DO NOT Need batteries. A T B. J
2:10!! Your dad's humor cracks me up!!!
Villiage Drunk!!! You are very fortunate to have such a good relationship with your dad!! Please treasure it!

a trick : watch movies on flixzone. I've been using it for watching lots of of movies these days.
@Thiago Joshua Yea, been using Flixzone for months myself :)
@Thiago Joshua yup, have been watching on flixzone for years myself :D
Most imprtant is the time you spent with your dad. And the fact of keeping your integrity throughout the bad news as well!
the highlights of my week are these videos!
The best thing are your videos with your father. Enjoy a lot your time together. Sorry for my bad english. Greetings from Spain!!!
Hey Mike, the next time you see your Dad, give him a big hug, and let him know how awesome he is.
I really enjoy your Channel. Thanks Mate

I admire your integrity and honesty ... good people like you two are hard to come by these days ... oh .. and very well put and explained ...
I wonder how many blokes are now secretly tricking out their garden sheds like this :)
Really entertaining, interesting and inspiring stuff. Love it.
Years ago I had an allotment with a shed. We weren't allowed to use hose pipes, so I put a clear plastic roof on it with a hand soldered solar panel underneath (You can buy cheap single cells but you have to wire them together). Your dad is such a sweetheart! Love watching your videos. All the way from Maryland, USA
Love those canvas seats! Ingenious, useful, lightweight, space saving efficiency and built to last! What’s not to love?

Mike - that Camp coffee used to be in a square bottle, about the same height as soy sauce. My mum used to use it when I was a kid (back in the mid to late 1950s). I've been a tea drinker all my life - probably because of camp coffee coz it tasted naff (from what I remember). You'll probably like it coz you're a mega coffee drinker. Keep up the great videos mate.
Tony that is some great work you on that plaque.
Thank You !
Hey, bummer about the PO Box but great to hear from you both none the less, cheers!!
back to the cabin to relive some good memories ahh... good times
Sad to hear unboxing is causing problems and that you have to stop them but I completely understand. I still love your channel and will look forward to all your other adventures!
Gentlemen, fantastic as always !

Hi Levi, that's great to hear, I wish you all the best with it
Hi guys started using the Yankee screwdriver 60 yrs ago and it’s still going strong and with a bit of adaptation you can fit drill bits etc they are worth their weight in gold and DO NOT Need batteries. A T B. J
