I will be walking down the aisle at my wedding to this hymn in just 60 days. This arrangement is so beautiful and heartfelt. I'm listening to it today, reflecting of my vocation, and praising God for His goodness.
I am not Roman Catholic, but this arrangement is fantastic! Thank you for sharing it with us as it is a tremendous blessing to my soul. God bless you brethren, may we sing together at His feet one day.
I see this as the best version of "O God Beyond All Praising". I listened to it for uncountable times. Gives me so much peace listening to it. Thank God !
I instantly recognized the church I grew up in, and was married in over 53 years ago, Christ the King Catholic Church in Dallas, Texas. Beautiful music in a magnificent church. We moved away years ago and I miss going to Mass in such an inspiring place.
@@Marsh55116 This is heartbreaking! I am so sorry to hear that. The evil one is ever present to tarnish God's wonderful creation. I hope you and your wife find rest and peace in the end.
When I struggle with depression, I listen to this beautiful arrangement and sing it as a prayer to our Lord. Music has always lifted my heart. Your music in particular is a blessing to my heart! How I love my Jesus and all He did and does for us. Oh Sacred Heart of Jesus I thank you and I love you!
Whenever I am struggling I listen to this song. My wife walked down the isle to "Jupiter from the planets." So, it makes me cry happy tears every time!
Lauren and Dave have the voices of angels!!! I love to hear them sing at mass each week!!! It is soo peaceful to hear and I am blessed to be able to hear them sing. Thank you for this video.
Today at the Eucharistic Congress I sat front row directly in front of the choir as a concelebrant. Completely unhindered view. When this was sang as a recessional I wept for the first time in years. I stumbled upon this arrangement of Thaxted during an extremely trying time of my priesthood back in March. It was a privilege to have such an intimate seat and to hear this arrangement live. It felt as if I was the only one in the stadium. Thank you for your ministry.
O God beyond all praising, We worship you today And sing the love amazing That songs cannot repay; For we can only wonder At every gift you send, At blessings without number And mercies without end: We lift our hearts before you And wait upon your word, We honor and adore you, Our great and mighty Lord. Then hear, O gracious Savior, Accept the love we bring, That we who know your favor May serve you as our king; And whether our tomorrows Be filled with good or ill, We'II triumph through our sorrows And rise to bless you still: To marvel at your beauty And glory in your ways, And make a joyful duty Our sacrifice of praise.
@@alexisrodrigues4767 The flower of earthly splendor in time must surely die, its fragile bloom surrender to you, the Lord most high; but hidden from all nature the eternal seed is sown though small in mortal stature, to heaven's garden grown; for Christ the man from heaven from death has set us free, and we through him are given the final victory.
I just listened to this a couple of days back, and have not been able to stop. It takes me to the bright days of the past, and the dark ones as well. Makes me realize how far I've come. I guess, in that sense, God has been there, helping by giving me the strength to persevere.
I discovered this just this morning and I cannot tell you how many times I’ve played it over and over again already today. It does something for my soul. This has got to be the best version that I have ever heard played of this song. Thank you for all that you do.
Perfect blend of voice and instrument... and we don't even have to be Catholic to love this... just believe that God deserves our thanks and love for helping us through this world...my favorite hymn of all time! ❤
This is amazing. Great tenor descant. I was blown away by your intonation. Those high notes were smooth as butter! Thank you for investing those talents and not burying them!
Wonderful recording. I love the echoes of the eucharistic liturgy in this hymn: we lift our hearts before you, and make a joyful duty our sacrifice of praise.
The male singer has Don Moen's timbre, I just heard this song in today's service that was broadcasted on TV and yoh 😭. Its been on my mind all day long.
Absolutely beautiful!! This is my favorite hymn, and what an AMAZING arrangement you have given us... I needed this tonight. Thank you and God Bless!! Deacon David

This is a beautiful arrangement, but please consider working in this traditional verse as you develop for future use. It is one of the most remarkable and profound lyrics in the history of English hymn-writing, and captures the emotional and spiritual jewels of the Kingdom and Christ's extraordinary love, written in nature as surely as in scripture. Would deeply appreciate this gorgeous setting including it at some point in the future.
I disagree respectfully. "The man from heaven" is not not an appropriate description. Arius or even Mohamed might say that. It's a shame, for the rest of the verse is beautiful.
I found the songs by Dave Moore that touched my heart during the recently concluded National Eucharistic Congress! Was trying to find it since Sunday 21 July 2024 until I went to the Relevant Radio website on the daily events of the NEC! Have now saved all Save Moore songs in my Spotify playlist! Thank you for the songs by Dave Moore that are nurturing my Catholic faith!!!❤
I heard this hymn at the funeral of a friend this week sung as a recessional. The tune was so familiar but I could not place it until I went to You Tube and found its history. It can be associated with Princess Diana , sung at her wedding and funeral , that's where I heard it. Found that its in our church Hymnal, OCP Journey Songs ! We will be adding it to our liturgy soon. Thank you for posting so many versions, especially the Dave and Laura Moore rendition
This morning, I'm also in awe of such beautiful, talented & inspiring Musicians & Singers...Glory to God! I love how He Loves us!!! 🤗 God Bless you & yours Andrea+++
To listen to your arrangement and such beautiful composition is an honor. I am awe struck by the magnificent production that you have created. Thank you! 💖💛💕🙏💐
I suffer the terrible choir music at our local Catholic Churches ( I lift up my embarrassment and continue concentrating on the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass) so it is with relief that I listen to a talented, skilled, competent and orchestrated Catholic Church choir performing a beautiful arrangement of sacred music. Whew! Thanks. God bless you.
I first knew this melody from Holst’s “Jupiter, Bringer of Jollity” as a music student in college orchestra. At the time, I noted that it had a very hymnal type feel to it. Just recently I learned someone put worship lyrics to the melody. As a Southern Baptist, this hymn is a breath of fresh air in all the mainstream worship music. Even though we may disagree on some things, we are all still children of God. Blessings be to you all.
Your arrangements are lovely and these songs are produced really well. I like how you snuck a flute in there in the mixing. It really gives a great sense of unity in your presentation. Well done.
I saw y’all live at DCYC which is an event every year at Austin tx for teen Catholics and when I say y’all really touched many heart I’m not joking!!! The woman had a beautiful and strong voice!!

I've had this hymn on repeat. The guy on the piano and the one on the trumpet got me watching several times. Beautiful hymn
