YES!! IT'S NMIXX TIME I always come back to DASH as the exact moment that NMIXX finally nailed the concept of "Mix Pop" that works for both close listeners and the general public. A really, REALLY well-produced song with great instrumentation, melodic progression, layering, vocals, everything really. I mean, of course it appeals to my tastes in jazz and funk with that bassline and those trumpets... And it doesn't abandon the switch-ups that made them famous! On the review side, this reaction has such a great balance of praise and constructive criticism, it all comes from a good place and each of the experts here each have something interesting to say. Truly excellent editing work as well!!
Absolutely agree. I think DASH is their best title tracks in terms of fitting the 'public music taste' while keeping their own color. Also, I think it's the best title track for showcasing how diverse the timbre of NMIXX's members are. Bae's part in the pre-chorus is just too good.
dash is really that mixx pop that is well executed and at the same time the general public will also like. if they continue giving this kind of surprises without getting lost throughout the song, it’s the end for me.
it’s funny because dash is my least favorite nmixx title track and i absolutely loved dice and o.o whereas everyone else seemed to hate those songs for the changeups being too jarring and unnatural

fortunately, it seems like the normal “maximalist” approach to production in kpop is coming back. Groups like ive, kiof, NMIXX, and especially aespa recently, are getting hits without having to join the minimalist/easy-listening type songs. As much as I love newjeans, the easy listening type songs they popularized made kpop worse in the recent years. + newjeans wouldn’t really be the “breath of fresh air” in kpop we all know and love if literally every single group out there sounds like them so i’m glad its over
dash has been well-received for good reason and i'm happy that the girls are getting recognition ❤ i reeeeaaally enjoyed this song bc of the groove, the choice of instrumentals, the vocals and more... but i also gotta agree that the middle section (bridge) isn't the best part about the song, or at least it isn't as memorable as some other bridges in other nmixx songs. but it's definitely exciting to see what nmixx's team will do in the future! 🎉🎉 thank you for filming and editing all this musician goodness!

this song is pure ENTROPY! it's gorgeous how everyone's going crazy on how many elements and textures that go on throughout the song, but in the end they fit all perfectly together. in midst of all the chaos that hurricane-y vibe of the song, it is all very neat and organized bringing a stellar sensation of satisfaction. i'd say this and aespa's supernova are cut from the same cloth, as if they are fraternal twins.
