As an amateur player, I would be delighted to reach this level of musicianship- having my nails right, memorizing the piece, being professionally filmed in a magnificent room, having half a million people see me play, and fully embracing music that is clearly outside my native culture. But that's just me.
I'm impressed that it sounded as good as it did, what with the guitar being out of tune, and the acoustics in the room magnifying the fret noise so much.
“Complaining does not work as a strategy. We all have finite time and energy. Any time we spend whining is unlikely to help us achieve our goals. And it won't make us happier.” In other words there were a lot kinder ways to say the tuning was a bit off, or the timing was this or that.... but unfortunately there are those who would rather illustrate and spread negativity vice any real advice or opinion, for that I apologize...... But at the end of the day, you can definitely see the passion, the art, and the flow of energy that is what makes a truly talented guitarist in my point of view.....
I think people are piggybacking. They don't really know if it's "out of tune" because none of them have anything close to perfect pitch. They just keep repeating ignorance. The b slightly untuned itself in the beginning of the performance. Boo hoo.
Lift your left fingers away from the guitar when you change positions to avoid string noise (imagine the ground is the fret-board and you are jumping towards the sky to understand the direction the fingers must follow. Check the position of your right hand wrist, it is making you pluck the strings outwards, producing a thin sound, you should try to move the strings downwards instead. Also, more flesh, less nails... and a guitar tuner (at least an app).

What happened to the cadenza? He totally emitted a huge portion of the poignant and beautiful ending to this masterful Chopin interpretation by Tarrega. I spent months perfecting this cadenza and it was one of the most rewarding and amazing passages of music I ever had the pleasure of experiencing. I must compliment the excellent production of this video, the crew did excellent work and it was such a pleasure to watch this video, only to be let down by the subject matter. The location was spectacular, lighting and sound were top notch, and the wardrobe department was fabulous, but alas, he took so many short-cuts and let so much harmony and voicing out of his playing, and to make matters worse, he is out of tune. With that being said, this is his take of a great interpretation and overall, it is still commendable for his courage and effort. Well done! I would have advised him to pick another piece to showcase this production house's work, this was probably out of his league.
Relax on the negativity, especially if the point has already been covered. the one thing he has brought to the table is mental stimulation, whether one likes his playing or not. I happy to have taken 5 minutes out to listen to the"Prince of Nepal".I've been looking online at American boutique steel string guitars and I'm surprised that nearly 100% of the feedback is positive. Often the playing is relatively simple, but the tone and intent is what is impressive.

The funny thing about microtones is that different people will prefer different tunings. So to some people it will sound even better and perfect, than others.
Very well played, my only issue is the famous "dragging fingers across the strings" which causes a certain noise that is not part of this piano piece. I've practiced to lift my fingers, instead of sliding them to the next position. You may try the same, the song will just sound that much better.
