Isert a plastic(or metal) sleeve over the rotor shaft between the small gear and the rotor so that the sleeve prevents the small gear from sliding towards the rotor. The sleeve should be smaller than the gear and close fitting to the shaft of the rotor.
Heloneida, what I did was use a flat head screw driver, pushed the gear up, and I added hot glue on the bottom of the gear so it doesn’t slip down again

Check to make sure that pencil sharps are not in the blade.
