Good morning, how are you? Thank you very much for your videos and instructions. In the first exercise of the top tone for sax "sustained tone", I didn't understand what sequence of intervals he uses, can you help me? thank you so much.
That's a good question. In the first line, he descends a minor third, then ascends a tritone. Then in the second line he descends a major third, and again a perfect fourth (although this is not technically how they are notated, theoretically). As far as I can tell this is an arbitrary choice, and just a way to cover notes at multiple places in the range.
