Whats up yall I thought it would be fun today to have a little battle between ex friends James Charles and Jeffree Star! James Charles recently came out with his makeup brand Painted and came out with his first ever palette the Basic Canvas palette, and I bought it was well as Jeffree star's newest palette the Scorpio palette! So today we are comparing them to see who has the better formula!

If you used your finger for the jeffree star shimmer in the inner corner it would have shown nicer. Jeffree definitely has better formulas. Will be sticking to his brand for sure. James' shimmers look ashy on camera.

His balms aren’t good, Jawbreaker is not the best and his highliters are sooooo glittery. However, his melting balm is GREAT and I do love the majority of his palettes!

Just judging the makeup- Jeffree's product looks 10 x's better. It is richer, the shine has much better dimension and the color has way more depth to it. Those colors are great on you, definitely break them out in the fall!

If I remember correctly, Jeffree Star avoided putting his image on his palettes for a while. I think Cremated was the first one to feature his face.
Used scorpio on our last date night and my look was beautiful ;I do really like this pallet 😊 I can see why some would think the color story is kind of meh.. but that being said, there are a lot of colors I don’t already have in my collection too. Can’t wait to do other looks 😊🎉

I definitely agree with your like him being naked on all his pallets, it would be pretty if it was a sleeve .. and we had the option to take it off or put it off
But I guess it would also just cost more money out of his pocket to create a sleeve just to take himself off of the pallet because people don’t want him there

I haven't bought from JSC in years, lowkey kinda miss his liquid lipstick formula and those lip scrubs
To prevent fall out. I use a setting spray spritz with shimmers that are more powdery vs the dimethocone putty types. I have to be careful with the putty types. Quite a few tend to crease after a few hours of wear.

I personally like the shimmer of the JC palette. It looks more classy/rich, as you said with a colored base then the shimmer I think it would glow and that's the look I like. A little more grown up sophisticated look. I do like that brassy metellic look for some occasions. But more useful to have shimmers that can be worn all the time. And can be built up. I can't stand ethier of these guys so I won't purchase ethier. But if I were between these pallets it would be the JC. The color story is really pretty. I have so many beautiful pallets it would take a lot to get my dime😂🎉

I love my Jeffree Star products but one thing that annoys me is that the color never matches what you see on the pan. They always apply differently on the lid, other than that, the quality is really good! The shimmers on the James Charles though, they're SO pretty!

Omg!! Sameee I’m broke asf so when a eyeshadow pallet has kickback I use the kickback on the pallet instead of dipping back into the Eyeshadow 🤭🤭

The shimmer Psycho Analyse from Jeffree's palette complimented your eye color way more. And clearly, it's a different formula, but I think the colors you chose from JS complimented the rest of the shades to your makeup on your face. On camera, you cannot see the difference in their shimmer once they are both on. Interesting you had more fallout with JS formula.
Also, you are comparing two completely different color stories... when you wanted to do a neutral look. You're wearing cream and a cool tone brown beanie. I still like the orangey shadows vs brown paired with your outfit. It would have been nice if you used the Yellow from JC palette and like the blues or other color from JS to do a comparison based on the colors.

I like the James pallet if you don’t have all those colors but I do and 95% of the time I use my eyeshadow for a color liner and with a little bronzer on the eye so Jeffree would be good for that. If I didn’t have several neutral pallets James’s is prett though.

I have the Natasha denona my dream pallet and the retro glam palette I feel like those pallets put together, are just about the same concept of these two pallets that you’re reviewing although I do love both colors in the video I wouldn’t buy it just because I already have the other Natasha pallets.
