- The hit LGBTQ+ series Young Royals will return to @Netflix for its third and final season. All lead cast members will be back, including Edvin Ryding as Prince Wilhelm, Omar Rudberg as Simon, Frida Argento as Sara, Malte Gårdinger as August, and Nikita Uggla as Felice. Lisa Ambjörn will also return as head writer and co-creator.
In New York, The Queer Review's editor @EditorJamesKleinmann had an exclusive conversation with @OmarRudbergOfficial and Edvin Ryding about what they'd like to see in season three, what it's like to be the subject of so much love and attention from their passionate fans, which scene they are most proud of in season two, their own favourite piece of LGBTQ+ culture, and much more.

I'm going to miss these characters and their journey so much. Young Royals has become a place of safety and comfort for me. I can't wait to see how Simon and Wilhelm's story ends.
A 14 minute long video with no music and no snappy editing, and I'm still fully captivated and engaged the whole time?! I'm impressed. It was definitely because of the great questions asked, the thoughtful answers given, and how well the interviewer was able to adapt and adjust to their responses. The tone changes throughout were handled nicely, which made it flow smoothly and I know that is not easy. So kudos to the interviewer and the team that worked to make these questions and interview!

words cannot describe how much happiness and hope edvin and omar brought to my life and my heart. young royals is a big part of my life for quite long now and i’m never letting it go. i’m hella scared of s3 but i am also happy because i’m 99% sure we’re getting wilmon endgame.

While the LGBTQ community has been powerfully and positively impacted by the incomparable performances of this heart-opening story, please know that the energy of this production has energized millions of hearts the world over, LGBTQ, and otherwise. There is profound purpose in telling this story, at this time, on this planet. Edvin, Omar, and the other main cast members were chosen to do something paradigm-shifting for the planet in more ways than many currently realize. Through this production alone, binary/separation consciousness just received perhaps one of the biggest strikes to its false existence and destructive narrative, in recent so-called human history. What an honor to witness and be touched by!

Just reminding: the thing with the fish was a Simon-Wille moment, but it was also a Edvin-Omar moment too. Edvin had the idea about the names and Omar liked it after a while.
Omar really grow up from someone whos not very good at answering interview questions to a very chatty and wise person during interview. And edvin is edvin. Hes basically a sunshine

Enjoyed the interview, I also love and respect how Edvin held back and let Omar answer the question first, to me it demonstrated respect and appreciation, Edving you are such an old soul for a 19 year old ❤️
That's interesting, Edvin talking about that scene with the Makeup and the wig. It was such a short scene, but I had to pause and collect myself. Very powerful scene.

That scene that was referenced by Edvin when I first saw it I thought it was a homage to Glen Close in the film Dangerous Liaisons.
I would never guess that Edvin is the younger one - and by three years or so?? Also Omar has such an incredibly beautiful face it’s unreal. They are just both soo cute! I am a middle aged straight woman but their biggest fan 🙈

The letter Omar spoke of from the 85-year-old man, made me think and appreciate how far we have come. I only partially came out 13 years ago, and Young Royals has made me hope that perhaps I can find someone special. Thank you both for such outstanding performances and representations.

great interview. Omar is sp cute and Edvin is just ..damn! i could listen to him all day; increible actor, very charismatic charming, handsome and he has so much dept. the fact that hes not even 20 is mindblowing.

4:54 - 6:24 this bit made me tear up😭 I live in a conservative country as a queer person and having to hide part of my identity is really suffocating, I haven't even told my friends that I'm queer because I'm so scared of being outed without being ready, and I'm scared of how others, specially my parents will react to it😭 the show really is like a breath of fresh air for me, the ending of season 2 specifically made me cry my heart out. the fact that wille admitted it was him in the video and the fact that he was smiling proudly about his choice was so strong and powerful💜 I too wish that someday I will be strong enough to be myself without worrying about how others will react to it! young royals has truly helped me in many ways, it's sad that it's coming to an end with season 3 but I will cherish this show forever! I can't thank lisa enough for giving life to this masterpiece and i can't thank edvin and omar enough for portraying wille's and simon's story so beautifully!💜

I could not be who I am till I was over 60. I am finally where I should be. This show brought me through the young years about my confusion, societal pressures and what was OK, then. There is some good change and shows like this help to take the stigma away from LGB. Love how sex was not a focus but how love wins. Now, I 'd like to see how RWRB and YR would carry out an interview.

Isnt it beautiful that two genuinely lovely guys can carry this powerful story to the world, and still just be two lovely guys.. So many people came out during covid, or reconsidered how they want to be authentic in life, you can see why its been perfect timing for this story, and I think it only worked because of such genuine hearts behind it 💕 We can feel the difference from these beautiful humans who are just human like us 💖
Im so incredibly gutted that it will finish in 3, but also, these guys and all the cast will probably be in our sights again with other masterpieces, so I'm happy I even got to learn about them through this remarkable show. Great interview to capture this moment, thank you 🙏 such talented artists

young royals is honestly the best show i've ever watched for so many reasons. i'm so grateful that i've found this show and as sad as it is to know that season 3 will be the finale i'm just happy that we will at least get a 3rd season and a proper ending to it all; i've found this show during a tough time in my life while i felt like i had nothing left anymore and had no passions as well and i'm now considering to pursue filmmaking and am hoping to major in film production one day.
I have so much respect for the actors, the crew etc. they've all done such a wonderful job and i hope to see more shows/movies like this in the future that portray lgbtqia+ relationships in such a manner

The way Omar looks at Edvin at 12:35 ..his Simon is showing lol..this is why they are so good on screen...the chemistry is very believable..probably because they have a good friendship off screen..

I like Omar Rudberg and Edvin Ryding from Young Royals after it came out on Netflix back in July 2021, I love the chemistry between them to the beginning including Tommy Wattring, who play Marcus, now they're at my hometown here in NYC and I hope they're coming back home to Sweden next month in January!!
Ahhhh so excited to see the end of their story in season 3! And asdfghjk I'd love to see a duet between them. Not necessarily something super formal but some scene of Simon singing and Wille joining in and just enjoying each other's company. SMILING!! So much love for these characters
