Hey Ray! You should look into getting a small deep freezer. Since you have a lot of parties it will really come in handy and provide extra freezer space!

When you were talking about people commenting when you mention your struggles with getting ready before 7:30 am it reminded me of a time when one of my friends called us all over and told us she had something to tell us. We all knew she was feeling down a lot lately so long story short, she end up telling three of my friends and I that she had a miscarriage and she literally burst into tears. One of my friends goes, “Oh girl that’s what it is I’ve had three miscarriages and I still don’t have a baby, at least you have one already”. It’s like she totally dismissed her issue because SHE’S had three of them before🤦🏻♀️! I literally was horrified at her for doing this! We can’t downplay someone else’s struggles or feelings just because we may have been through or deal with the same things! So incredibly rude

Suggestion: You should contract with a certified landscape company to maintain your grounds. A good company would recommend plants (winter hardy) and secure your plants with landscape burlap to protect the plants. The same company will allow you not to have to traipse around doing things.
I share this with you from my experience. While I live in the NE my company (18+years) have saved me 100s of dollars. Good luck!
Gone through 4 or 5 landscaping companies already. If only finding a good company in the first place was that easy 😢 but that’s what I’d like to do!

I recommend you have that gardening service on retainer as well as a pool maintenance service, so that no matter the change in weather, those two major projects will be their concern and not necessarily yours. Also, if you need to make additions to the pool or plants these companies can just take care of it.

I love how authentic you seem in your videos. Girl don’t stress about your mornings it’s your struggle personally that’s not my struggle but I have noticed that when you have more flexibility in your schedule don’t have to be at work at a certain time or whatever it’s really hard to get to places on time especially mornings. You’re doing an amazing job and I wish I had the amount of support you have with your daughter 💕

Something that we love about you is that even though you are a full time content creator, you show us REAL LIFE things that you deal with. Ray the plants will definitely come back I had an agave for years as big as yours and every winter and freeze we’ve had in Texas it’s always come back on it’s own. It’s more of a question of your patience and letting go of aesthetic for a bit lol

As someone who lives in Canada you may need to look at home owners in southern Canada as we get similar weather except you guys stay way warmer.
I.e brown bags over plants, pool houses to protect equipment (yours may need a roof and insulation) etc etc
Girl getting up early in the morning is a struggle for me too and I don’t have human kids. I feel ya! I have furbabies so when I need to get up early I prep their meals and stick in the fridge so one thing less to do.

Raven, you should get insurance for your pool, all appliances, electrical equipment, heating and air conditioner, pipes and technology, washer/dryer. This insurance is NOT your homeowner insurance. I have 2-10 Warranty which cost me about $1100 for 3 years. If anything breakdown in my home it only cost me $75 out of pocket and if the item cannot be fixed 2-10 Warranty will replace for FREE. American Home Shield is another company you can research. With all of the entertaining that you do, I think a standup freezer in your garage would help. I love my freezer and being standup I can see everything in it. Love your ideas and channel. Keep them videos coming 🥰💗
Raven, I watched your podcast where you spoke on your mental health crisis. I’m so sorry that happened, I’m going through some things myself and I relate to everything you spoke of in that episode. I swear it’s like we’ve had the same unfortunate experiences but that episode couldn’t have came up in my suggestions at a better time. You should write to the school about the drop off line. Some parents complained about the line at my daughter’s school and they separated grade levels in two lines. Now it’s wayyyy faster!
There's already 4 lines lol and it's still like this. no more space for any more lines!

I live in the north & I cut most plants way down & they grow back beautifully in the Spring. I would definitely recommend getting covers for all of your outdoor furniture…it will last way longer.

Have you thought about getting some faux plants (Privacy fence) to put behind your pool?! I think you pretty much just open them and tied them to your fence.

Agave Parryi are equally as beautiful and can tolerate some freezing temps…also be careful with the sap. Sadie looks amazing, always happy for Moms taking a break.

If you chop them they’ll grow back with the season. It’s called “stumping” the plant. I do it to all my plants every off season and they come right back. It actually helps the plant grow better 😊

I think if the weather is gonna keep getting cold like this, you may want to look into getting plants that can withstand cold temperatures. It’ll lessen your expense of re-planting 💜

Hummmm my mom and I work together and I am grown, However, I'm from the South and There is a level of RESPECT that she is always due... Even when we don't agree. Especially, when someone else is around....Its NEVER OK TO BE SNAPPY with my mom or granny in front of anyone...& We work in the event & catering space so clearly we have our differences MANY of them, some are purely generational, But as a Daughter first and business owner second. I keep my Southern Belle roots in check and I ALWAYS REMEMBER WHO IM TALKING TO. my day 1 ❤️ my mother. You and chef Toni are a great team.. Agree, with you about the personal struggles . I struggle with getting ready for a video. I want to wear makeup but I am not great with applying makeup and I've gone to Sephora, and Ulta for help, but they make me look worse . Therefore, I end up filming with only lashes and lipstick on . I have an image I desire to uphold a particular image for my sit down talks, but the makeup isn't working out. I'm self employed and often times I am not dolled up . Therefore, my sit down talks is my chance to look nicer than when I am in the streets... I get comments girl, you have to practice , practice, get help.. I have. It's frustrating and I prefer no makeup than to look like I'm casket ready. I get it, Raven. It's my struggle and maybe other creators look cute, but I am still a work in progress with the makeup. Ya'll pray for me in. 😘
