7:14 - Wow! I wasn't expecting a lot of familiar storyboard layout artists: Charlie Bean, Bob Camp, Eddie Fitzgerald, Chris Reccardi, Jim Smith and Carey Yost from Ren and Stimpy Paul Rudish from Dexter's Laboratory And Joe Orrantia from Phineas and Ferb!
I remember seeing this when I was about 9 or 10 years old. Cartoon Network was running pilots for all sorts of Cartoons, and this one by far was the funniest. It still made me crack up to this day! haha
I thought the backgrounds looked familiar! Especially on the space station! I did some digging and one of the key background painters on this cartoon, Tim Biskup? He was also the art director for Time Squad!
your welcome. i've seached everywhere for it as well. i discovered it accidentally while watching this guy called "familiar faces" and he only mentioned it for a second. i have a quick-draw ear. and i found that mike bell guy's vimeo page and that lead me to find that long lost video.
Old comment, but this is the highest quality that exists. It came out in 2002 as a test pilot, so you'd have to ask Mike himself for an HD transfer. Honestly, since this short was basically lost for a decade, I'm glad we have a version in this quality. We could've been stuck with a crappy VHS recording.
When was this made? The mid-90's. I remember Dexter and genndy's work saving CN. This reminds me of Dexters lab animation wise in some areas. Can you give me some info?
Glad to know I didn’t just hallucinate this from my childhood
this show is crazy!

Is it just me or does the opening sound similar to the Freakazoid opening?
its uncanny isnt it? when i searched for this show i always thought it was dave the barbarian because of his profile.

Universal secrets hidden in this short

Commander Cork, Kitty Bobo, Long hair and Doubledome, Luna Lucky and a few other cartoons on this playlist should've had their own series.
What Playlist?
Also Don’t you mean Lucky Lydia?

Dave the Barbarian in space!
there is an episode in dave the barbarian when they end up in space that reminds me so much of this.
I thought I'd never see this again! Even the Cartoon Netwrok wiki did't list it!
Watching a bunch of these pilots from CN and Nick in that time period I think I’ve seen Kath Soucie as the sassy one of two kids about ten times
this takes me back ^^
dwight schultz :O
I remember watching this as a kid.
This would of made a good show
the animation style reminded me of Disney's Nightmare Ned.
Remember thinking this was called Commander Clark. Ironically there is a cartoon called Commander Clark.
Same with me. I found it when watching a video about a contest to see which show will get to be.made into a show. This was one of the pilots.
@@metroidfannumber1234 ironic how there is also a cartoon called Commander Clark
@@metroidfannumber1234the big pick?🙊
I felt so sad when I saw The End sign at the video. Because I really found myself wanting to watch more
The same creator of Super Santa from Oh Yeah, Cartoon!
0:00 - 0:10 Umm, Commander Cork... Freakazoid just called. He says you're being sued for copying his tune. 🤨
Ohh, I remember this so well, I found this the funniest cartoon of the second generation of What a Cartoon!.
i posted this because it was so hard to find and i wanted others to find it a lot easier.
I REALLY wish this won instead of Codename: Kids Next Door...
oh it was in the same contest as knd?? i never knew that. so i guess they won then.
I'm glad I am not the only one who remembered this whole event.
I got so disappointed when KND made it
Yeah honestly this is so much better
@@92Raider-art How? this is generic af it would turn out like The Replacements
I've been looking for this pilot for years.. anyone have it in HD?

I miss old day of cartoon network
Is that the voice of Animo from Ben 10?
yeah he's also Mung Daal from Chowder, the guy who house-sat for General Skarr once, the pilot guy from the A-Team...
That just made my day 1:49 🤣

You would think so based on the animation style, but sure enough it was released on August 23, 2002.
