Settle down Landon. We get it you’re a basketball American and you don’t like white people Either. You can’t kill someone for being drunk. Imagine races were reversed? You’d be screaming to Riot at that bar. Clown shoe.
My brother was murdered at a local bar, the man Daniel Mohar only received 8 months for murdering my amazing brother. Daniel Mohar head butted him and he never recovered and died two days later. Unfortunately, no one called 911 to help him because everyone walked away. My brother Teddy was the absolute light of our lives and he is missed everyday. The Durham PD and Durham District Attorney’s office failed my brother with their actions, or lack of action. If only being murdered in a bar was not considered a fight and actually considered what it was! An unprovoked attack which ended in my brother dying. This is murder!
These bouncers, security guards must be held accountable. Its the owners of the bars who do not have them properly trained. One punch and knocked, or hitting their head on the ground. It happens all the time. Tragic.
Hi, bouncer here. We are legally required to maintain eTips certification as well as many times required online training (not in my personal experience, but I know bouncers who take yearly training). [Edit: it clearly states around the 20 second point in the video that the bouncer was licensed, so he was properly trained] Once someone gets their beer muscles on, usually all bets are off and it's restrain and respond with necessary force. The "rule" is that you are not allowed to throw a punch until you've been hit twice. You will seldom find a bouncer who follows that rule. If we get hit, you're getting hit back. If we get hit twice, the chances of you walking away from the situation on your own is unlikely. If someone tries to force themself into the establishment after having been removed, they will be meet with force. I have personally sent someone backwards down a set of stairs after having to wrap my arms around their head and neck and drag them out. He got a concussion. Video footage showing him hit another patron and then being forcefully removed was deemed my actions justifiable when the idiot tried to sue. I'll say 85% of the time for the sake of begin generous, when someone gets into an incident with a bouncer resulting in injury, the bouncer was likely in the right and applying just force. It's a shame this kid is suffering from his injuries, but there is no way he is completely innocent and the fact that he is in this condition, the bouncer isn't completely in the right either because the force appears to have been excessive without all the details.
Well if the kid tried to hit the officer he had every right to knock kid out , fuck around and find out .. now if the bouncer hit him and the kid didn’t attack him he should be thrown in jail for life
Although tragic, this is what I don't like about these stories. Instead of these news stations rushing to get a story out, how about waiting for all the facts to come in. So far all anybody knows is that the kid tried to get back in and was told no, don't know anything after that.

This is what happens when you hire a particularly violent type of people because they don’t fight fair. They are aggressive. They are ignorant as they are criminal. Bouncer always gets the benefit of the doubt.
Sue the bar owner! It is the responsibility of the owner to make the establishment safe.
Actually, all parties involved can be held liable. The bar and it's owner(s), the bouncer as the employee and the bouncer as the individual can all have charges pressed against them if found to be at fault.
Security thinks they're cops.
First off, my condolences/sympathies, however why are you in a bar, why are you drinking? This is a result of a culture of alcohol, ruined my life as a child, not sure why everyone is so surprised when these things happen.
Bar security guards are there to guard the bar. They don't randomly provoke fights. I doubt he was punched by a security guard just for funzies.
Bless your heart
👀
Certain "people" have been known to randomly sneak behind and punch elderly strangers. So lets not jump to the wrong coonclusion
Yeah, he was not allowed back in and he didn't comply and started an argument with the security guard it seems like. Just pull up the camera footage.
I don’t think you have ever been in a bar. The guards are always aggressive it’s the only time in their lives they hold any power. The guards are so excited to finally be able to flex 💪🏻 their muscle. Ofcouce it’s always against a smaller possibility impaired victim.
So sorry!💔
