I believe that Gabriel wish for a word that would make Adrien happy with Natalie. That would explain how the Mansion changed so much in just a few months and why everything in Paris and the whole world is so perfect, its literally Adriens dream world. That would also explain the mysterious force that appears before Lila, Ladybug now has too much of an edge so a supernatural evil must appear to help Lila restore the balance.
Or maybe he just wished for a world where Adrien was happy without him?

I think Tikki and Plagg fusing might be similar to how it is in Steven Universe. At least, personality wise. The fusion is a completely new being with its own personality and desires. The combination still has ruminants of its parts. Perhaps unlike SU however, it’s always a perfect fusion, where the two that fuse completely combine and their parts disappear from existence until they defuse. I’m sure they have the memories of both. In SU some fusion fall apart when they don’t agree on something and the two minds start thinking separately instead of as one. Which is what I believe isn’t the same with the fusion of Kawmis.

It wouldn’t have worked. The wish needs something of exact value for it to work. The only price for making the miraculous never be damaged means another would have been damage.

I love the concept of the kwamis' true forms, it gives them depth that we didn't really get to see after season 2.
I really hope we'll get to see more of that in later seasons.
But I don't like the rest of the writing in this episode that much.

I'm sorry, but you've showcased in the movie that your'e capable of writing a better "final fight with Hawkmoth" . And that's ignoring the countless fanfictions and comics that I've got to read over those years, which were more intresting and emotional then THIS.
I mean tbf, the movie was written by Jeremy Zag himself while the series was written by Thomas Astruc (the MLB creator). Like imagine being outshined by your boss LMAOOOO
I think leave Cat Noir out of the final fight with Monarch was a good thing. There are three instances where ladybug and cat noir's identities have been revealed. In two of those instances, Gabriel also figures out who cat noir is, which leads to him akumatizing his own son, which leads to disaster. So cat noir couldn't be in the final fight becuase then Monarch would take advantage of cat's secret identity.
But this just my opinion tho.

The wish seemed to be "Adrian should still have all the people who love him when I'm gone". So, both Natalie and Emilie are back and everybody else is safe.
If that were the case then wouldn’t everyone who hated him disappear once Gabriel died? The “balance” of wishes seems quite literal, so if that happened then Lila wouldn’t be around to be the new monarch or whatever she’s gonna call herself
Nobody really hates Adrian. Those are Marinette's haters... Even Lila thinks that everything is Marinette's fault.

Meaning if he hadn't sacrificed himself, he would have died by his son's unintentional actions anyway. I think it would be very likely Adrien would find out about this, and he would be in absolute grief and ruin

And Gabriel made his wish, which made him follow Emilie into death to get away from Adrien’s face so he wouldn’t go to jail. And now, Tomoe will continue to search for ways to create a new world for herself, after season 6 (or 7), when Cerise/Chrysalis is defeated. It was Fu’s fault the Peacock Miraculous was damaged and that both it and the Butterfly Miraculous were both lost and buried beneath the snow. Emilie used the Peacock Miraculous to make herself pregnant. Then, Colt used the Peacock Miraculous to make Amelie pregnant. That’s a 100% fact that both Adrien and Félix are straight-up Sentimonsters, and that they were both being controlled by their Amokized wedding rings, because that’s where their life forces are linked to. The damaged Peacock Miraculous killed both Colt and Emilie, but Gabriel resurrected/reawakened Emilie against her and Nathalie’s wishes. Now, Félix and Adrien are wearing the Amokized wedding rings, so no one can control them ever again.

He had a change of heart, and wished for Nathalie to be healed so she could take care of Adrien while he reunited with Emilie in the afterlife (assuming there is one)

I hate how the final battle with Monarch had EVERYTHING to do with Adrien, yet Adrien had NO part in it.
It reminds me of the final battle with Tritanus from Winx Club season 5.

Random theory, perhaps Gabriel wished for Adrien's happiness in exchange for his own. Nathalie lives, he dies. Maybe Adrien became a human instead of a sentimonster? If that's the case, Gabriel could have given up his own humanity, and maybe Emilie being alive is a side effect of Adrien being human. I'm not sure of this, as I don't fully understand wether the wish totally rewrites history or makes people believe it happened differently

@@Jimmy-tb9pe oh ok, I watched the episode yesterday when rewatching s5 and what I got from the story was that at first both sisters could not get pregnant and they were devastated but eventually emilie got pregnant and they were happy. But amilie was not with child and Felix’s father was angry at Gabriel and said that they did not deserve a child. Emilie felt bad for her sister so Gabriel gave Felixs father the peacock Miraculous and then amilie became pregnant. I would explain how Felix father treated him after he was born but this would be too long but let’s just say felix father thought of Felix as a monster and treated him bad

I think that Gabriel wished for the butterfly miraculous to be damaged instead of the peacock miraculous, because we see that BOTH Nathalie and Emilie are alive, and Gabriel gives his life. We also see that hen Cerise (Lila) put on the butterfly miraculous and everything around her starts floating. That is why is think Gabriel wished that his miraculous was broken instead of the one Nathalie & Emilie used.
Maybe because marinette is the guardian and said that she will take back the peacock miraculous and give it to the next person who will use it so a person who takes it forcefully will not be able to use it

I Am a boy but the ending of season 5 touched my heart I thought hawkmoth/Shadowmoth or the other moths were the villains but he's just a guy with a broken heart wanting to bring his wife back to life I love this season with all my heart it is just the best ending I've seen in all of the cartoons I've seen Steven universe is second. The season 5 finally taught me something even if you're loved ones are endangered we need to rescue them at all cost!
The one thing I don’t get is if using the wish for any reason can only cause disasters. Why does it even exist in the first place? If I were there, I would want to talk to Gimmi and ask her questions about certain things. I love Gimmi. She seems cool yet also wise. I think he wanted him to use the peacock miraculous to create Adrien by himself. Emily probably wouldn't have done what he did, and both Nathalie and Emily would still be alive. The principle of equal exchange isnt broken in this wish, because he would die instead of Emily, and Nathalie wouldnt die because she would never use peacock miraculous

His wish is balanced because everything he wished for he would never get to experience, to appreciate, the life he worked so hard for, destroyed Paris for, his assets, his work, all of it would be for nothing.
