Can we observe that if this video was made when the Black Box "version" was made, that they probably either would have used a younger skinnier model or not have shown the vocalist at all? This video just underscores how silly that would've been.
This is absolute FIRE!!!! I have always loved the original by Black Box, but this FAR exceeds the sound of the original. It adds such a feel to it that is so much more soulful. I can feel it more, from the bass to the horns to the drums. Absolutely incredible!!!!

I have heard “Love Sensation” and it is well known that Black Box royally screwed Loleatta Holloway out of royalties for using her work for “Ride On Time” among other songs they did, even though she actually recorded her voice for them in many songs. But Holloway’s song was not “Ride On Time”. Thus, that makes the Black Box song the original to me.

I really hope these kids today understand that Black Box used her lyrics and vocals, as they notoriously had a habit of doing. I’m only posting this because I see absolutely no mention nor gratitude to Loleatta. Don’t think she’s not watching all this from beyond. Heaven does have a disco. Trust. 😜
I was walking by a neighbours house and I heard this great female vocal that made me stop in my tracks. I stopped and listened for a few minutes, then went up to their door and knocked so I could discover who was singing. That was my introduction to the Bamboos!!!
