My favourite book of all time. I know it very well but never listened to a dramatized version. I did quite enjoy the TV series. Looking forward to this - thanks!

When you have heard the original version by the author himself,no one can do it better.I recognize all the voices of good actors but it doesn’t do the book justice.Just hope there are no AI renditions in the pipeline but I’m not holding my breath.Arts and entertainment world seems to be getting worse.Probably just an age thing. We baby boomers had the best of all the arts and entertainment.

I struggled with this one to begin with. I have severe dyslexia and don't read too well from a page, making this one almost inaccessible to me at first. The unabridged audiobook narrated by Michael Jayston is outstanding. He brings everyone to life so well! Looking forward to this. TV series was quite good too - but very hard to bring it to a screen. I was born in 1981 and share your view here, so probably not just an age thing!

The music in the background is really annoying, unnecessary and distracting. Remove musical element ? It’s tragik

Le Carre parodies himself. Same old characters - with different names - moles
in the circus etc etc...As usual he is completely unable to portray a working
class character . Presumably he never actually met any.? Cor blimey Guvnor. !

What a ridiculous, uninformed attack. You obviously know nothing about the author himself.
Attempting to drag someone down doesn't make you look better, or intelligent.

I know ALL about the author. ! And considerably more about the Art of novel writing than you I suspect. ? No doubt you consider le Carre to be a " great " writer..?
Personally I rank him on a par with Agatha
Christie and far below Somerset Maugham !!!
